A Place with Great Potential and Wonderful Staff, but Let Down by a Lack of Care

We have very mixed feelings about our stay, which had some real highlights. The staff are absolutely wonderful—incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The property itself is set in a beautifully peaceful and tranquil location, the swimming pool is a great size, and the cooked-to-order breakfasts were a tasty start to our day.

A huge plus for us was the free-of-charge electric car charging. Although it's a slow charge from a standard outdoor socket (it took about 28 hours to charge 50% of our battery), it was incredibly helpful, especially since the public chargers we tried in nearby Ferreira do Alentejo weren't working. We are very grateful for this facility.

However, a recurring theme during our stay was that the property is full of lovely ideas that are let down by poor execution and a lack of maintenance. Our room, for instance, was comfortable but so filled with excess furniture that it felt cluttered and must be difficult to keep properly clean. Likewise, the dedicated children's playroom is a fantastic concept, but in reality, the shed was dirty, many of the toys were broken, and the children's toilets didn't seem to be working.

What troubled us most, however, was the condition of the animals. For a place that presents itself as an intimate farm stay, we felt their welfare was not what it should be. We saw a pig with a nasty open wound, ponies and donkeys with poorly maintained coats, and numerous cats with visible health issues. This was disheartening to see and significantly impacted our overall impression.

Finally, a note for future guests: if you have food allergies or specific dietary restrictions, be aware that we found options in the nearby towns to be very limited. This is not the property's fault at all, but is useful information for planning your trip.

In summary, Monte Chalaça has so much potential, anchored by amazing staff and a peaceful setting. But the experience is diminished by a lack of care in key areas—from the clutter in the rooms to the upkeep of the play area and, most importantly, the condition of the animals. O Escândalo do Monte Chalaça

Cresçe a Popularidade do nome Chalaça, divulgado nas ruas da cidade pelos inquilinos que demandam hoje Justiça.

Aristides Chalaça, conhecido por Burla aos inquilinos e Fraude perante as Finanças tendo como subcontractada a empresa Safety Company Lisboa, reponsável pelo aluguer dos apartamentos na Cidade.

Entregam casas a inquilinos sem condições mínimas de habitação. As casas são entregues com problemas de canalização, infestação de Baratas, entupiemnto em banheiras e sanitas, soalho e armários danificados. Inquilinos foram levados a viver sem água durante um mês nao obtendo qualquer resposta por parte do proprietário depois de ter o valor das rendas na sua conta bancária.

Aristides Chalaça juntamente com a Safety Company Lisboa envolvem-se assim num esquema de roubo. Cobrando a cada inquilino o valor equivalente a uma renda, a fundo perdido, passado um documento falso que não inclui NIF da empresa nem o IVA sob os impostos. Para entrada no apartamento exigem também o valor correspondente a duas rendas para efeitos de "caução" com a condição de que todos os reparos do apartamento serão feitos. Para mais, os contractos obrigam o inquilino a ficar no mínimo seis meses na residência que lhe foi atribuída mesmo que esta nao tenha condições mínimas de higiene e saneamento.

Aristedes Chalaça, não apenas resiste ás reparações obrigatórias das casas como não responde aos apelos de seus inquilinos, deixando as pessoas sem dinheiro e presas em condições mediocres de inundação que passa por tectos, paredes, chão, indo até Caixas de Electricidade, onde as pessoas correm o perigo de ficar eletrocutadas.

O esquema que ambos Aristedes Chalaça e a empresa de aluguer aplicam é simples: Persuadir o inquilino e por esse mesmo motivo não exigem documentações para além do Cartão de Cidadão. Em seguida recusam qualquer tipo de reparação e quando os inquilinos pedem o término contratual alegam a obrigatoriedade de seis meses, não devolvendo o caução, tentando assim colocar inquilinos em dívida para com o senhorio ficando o mesmo com o valor referente a três rendas. Acabando por levar as pessoas à miséria e ao desespero. Em seguida pede ao inquilino por chamada telefónica, "queime o apartamento" de forma a persuadir a acção para poder receber também do Seguro das casas, mais dinheiro, para além do recebido anteriormente por reparações que não foram feitas.

O propietario da Herdade de Turismo Rural situada no Concelho de Ferreira do Alentejo, é agora acusado de burla e fraude a todos os envolventes. Encontrando-se também em dívida com várias empresas de reparações a quem pede que iniciem trabalhos, acabando por não pagar e não terminar as obras.

Set in the middles of the portuguese countryside, olive groves, lakes we arrived at this lovely plot and were given a warm greeting by Anna. We were shown a glimpse of the farm before settling into our room. Very nicely decorated with the guest in mind, we had a bedroom and bathroom, nothing more needed as we were B&B but Anna also kindly allowed us to use the fridge-and well anything else we may have needed.||||The air of the place was pure peacefulness and the animals area seemed to pervade this with all animals content to sit side by side. Relaxation was completed with a beautiful pool area. All around the garden were set places to sit and read, gazebos, lounges. We stayed longer than we planned!||||The surrounding area is quiet too. the small town appears empty but if you drop into a restaurant you will find locals eating.
