Responding to your reply questioning the authenticity of my initial review. Our stay was on the 6th of August 2022 and we were a family of x4.
We arrived at breakfast and were immediately ignored by this member of staff. As a general practice its polite to greet the guest and walk/advise them where to sit. When we asked for a high chair for our 1 year old child it was as if she was too busy to get this for us and thirdly when we were picking our food from the buffet she pushed infront of my family and other guests without a a simple excuse me, at that time the guests and ourselves looked at each other and just laughed. This was the particular incident that caused me to leave a review.
I'm not sure if it was a bad day, too busy or just generally understaffed at the restaurant however it was still unacceptable. If I'm paying for a service I do not expect to feel like that. For me general manners is essential and this was lacking - Only at breakfast I must add.
The rest of the hotel was great apart from the gym where I had to constantly ask for the lights or electricity in the changing rooms to be turned on so I could see.
I have been to Portugal 5 times this year and the general customer service is exceptional, far exceeds France, Spain and other European countries that I have visited.
I hope you realise this review is genuine and my only motive is to leave genuine, constructive feedback. If necessary I can call and provide our booking number or upload photos of our stay.
As an owner of a business too I would feel it is essential to receive feedback like this, if a paying guest had visited my business and wouldn't 100% return based on customer service I would want to know. Read moreStayed here for 1 night as part of a group on an organized tour of Portugal.||||From the outside it did not look very inviting however inside it was very nice indeed and we were very happy with the public areas, with our room - which was huge and nicely decorated. The bathroom was also large and had sufficient towels and toiletries, however it was a bit strange that the bath with shower over it was in a sort of niche with dark tiling and no light at all in that area.||||The food was the only let down - not very good at all neither the evening meal - bland, chicken undercooked !!!! not hardly any choice except for the salad veggies, food was cold as the heating element under the serving dishes was off for some reason. Read moreWe stayed here en route from the Algarve to the ferry at Santander. Hotel very easy to find with plenty of secure car parking, either in front or in basement garage. From outside hotel looks very ordinary. However the interior was spotless, nicely decorated for Xmas and the staff were super friendly. We had a room on first floor with small balcony. Since it was snowing and sleeting, we didn’t go outside!|Room was spacious with big bathroom. Heating controls easy to operate.
