Boavista Golf & Spa - Bela Colina Village — Hotel in Lagos

We just spent a week in a townhouse in Bela Colina Village. We knew nothing about the resort. We simply found it online and rolled the dice. What a happy surprise. Every now and then, you stay at a place where it’s evident management is paying attention. Every part of the stay was perfect. Pre arrival communication was prompt and accurate. Check in was friendly and organized. Reception was always glad to help throughout our stay. The townhouse was terrific. Clean, well equipped, comfortable and new. Also had three (maybe four) air conditioning units throughout. The grounds were beautifully manicured everywhere. Pool at the townhouses is large and clean. Great for family time or couples. The gym is well equipped plus there’s a huge indoor pool people were doing laps in. Golf course was beautiful and well maintained. Rental clubs were Titleist. 10 minute drive to major grocery store. 15 to marina and old town. Without a car it would be awkward staying here I think. We had a meeting with the main office to discuss long term rentals next year. Again, friendly, prompt and professional. Unsafe Facilities & Unprofessional Management – A Nightmare Stay I deeply regret choosing Bela Colina Village (Boavista Golf & Spa) and strongly warn travelers to stay away due to serious safety hazards and irresponsible hotel management.

During our stay in July 2024, my son suffered severe injuries when a glass shower panel detached and fell on him, causing deep cuts all over his body. He needed emergency medical care, stitches, and multiple bandages, which completely ruined our vacation.

Hotel’s Shocking Response: Unsafe Conditions – The glass panel was clearly not properly installed, yet the hotel refuses to take responsibility.

Unhelpful & Uncaring Staff – When we begged for help, they initially refused to clean our room, leaving it full of shattered glass.

Slow Emergency Response – It took multiple urgent requests before they assisted in calling an ambulance.

Denying Responsibility – Instead of taking accountability, the hotel is now blaming us, despite clear evidence of a maintenance failure.

This hotel failed us when we needed them most. A vacation should be safe, not traumatic. If you care about your family’s well-being, stay away from this place. There are plenty of better, safer hotels in...

Boavista golf resort and spa was a memory holiday destination/home for our family, from the moment we walked in from the front door on the first day to the time we checked out on the third, we loved the experience.

If you ever decide to visit lagos in Algarve please boavista golf and spa resort.

It’s affordable,its clean not just clean , its very clean, you have all you need to cater to children if you visit with kids.( we visited with 3 kids).

When we checked in we had complimentary coffee machine, box of milk, butter, box of juice as well.

So our first impression was we loved what we saw.

Also at check in we were told the use of the spa was included in the price ( even though we never got around to use it but it was available).

Every cluster had it own pool, you can see ours from our terrace and balcony, it was a self contained village.

Children play area is dotted all over the place with a major one close to the tennis academy in the resort.

Golf is also available.

The apartments were well insulated, also had air conditions.

We had facility to clean if we choose too, and they cleaned our apartment every day.

Had washing machine and dishwasher.
