Pico Holiday Chalets — Hotel in Lajes do Pico

We, a family of 3, spent a week in Casa Azul - a warm cozy cottage with 2 comfortable bedrooms, living room with amazing views over the ocean and a kitchen with all the equipment that you need to make full meals. There is a nice clean bathroom with a washing machine - super useful after all the adventures we had on Pico island. Most important though - our hostess was very supportive, friendly and nice. She even shared with us veggies from her garden, helped with find the taxi back to the airport, brought brochures with the trails on the island. She listened to our plans and helped us make our trips even better. If you like peaceful surroundings, with not many people around, ocean and nature - this is a place for you. I wish we stayed...

Unfortunately, we cannot give a positive review. We had booked the accommodation Casa Repouso on the Pico Island from 2nd to 6th August, but our reservation was cancelled by Ms Leslie without explanation. Despite several attempts to contact her by email and telephone, we received no response. Our telephone calls were also deliberately ignored. This kind of treatment of guests is disappointing and unacceptable. For this reason, we cannot recommend this...

Wunderbare Gastgeberin, eine Unterkunft, bei der es an nichts mangelt - und eine unbezahlbar schöne Aussicht! Wir haben als 7köpfige Familie (Eltern mit 3 Teens 13,15,18 sowie Grosseltern) 10 Tage im Casa Atlantico verbracht und es gibt einfach nur Positives zu vermelden:-). Das Haus ist super ausgerüstet, von allem (Geschirr, Küchenmaschinen, Stühle etc) hat es genug, man muss sogar als grosse Gruppe mal nicht Stühle nach draussen schleppen oder sich die Gläser teilen, von allem genug da! Der Balkon mit 180-Grad-Blick übers Meer und zur Nachbarsinsel Sao Jorge ist komplett überdacht, so dass man auch bei Regengüssen draussen bleiben kann. Leslie ist eine absolut tolle Gastgeberin, die mit Herz und Leidenschaft - aber auch Zurückhaltung, wenn einem das lieber ist - die Gäste betreut. Wir hatten jede nur erdenkliche Unterstützung: Leslie besorgte uns sogar einen Feldstecher, um nach Delfinen suchen zu können und sie versorgte uns mit dem besten Gemüse der Insel - aus ihrem eigenen Garten:-)!! 100%ige Weiterempfehlung - vielen herzlichen Dank, Leslie, für deine tolle Unterkunft inklusive...
