Serena Vista — Hotel in Lourinhã

The boutique hotel "Serena Vista" is wonderfully located with a wide view of hills, trees and vines. The vastness, together with the real peace and quiet, lets you breathe deeply and arrive well. The very tastefully furnished rooms invite you to relax, as does the wonderful pool, the terraces and the garden. There is a lot of attention to detail everywhere and it bears the hosts' signature. And the hosts in general :-): Sandra and Ronald gave me the warmest welcome and took great care to make sure I felt comfortable. And I did that from the first to the last day. So much so that I then came back for four days with my husband so that he too could enjoy this unique atmosphere. By the way: if you want to deal with the big or small questions of life on vacation, I particularly recommend Sandra's advice. In the beautiful, peaceful surroundings it is a pleasure to do something for your own soul!

The rooms are large, classy and modern. My bathroom was large and well equipped. I discovered small, lovely details everywhere, which I won't reveal here so as not to give anything away. ;-) I love the water and "Serena Vista" is very close to the most beautiful beaches. Even those who like to take long walks will find many options in the immediate area, especially with the many recommendations from Sandra. The Buddha Garden is also worth seeing, as are Obidos and Caldas de Rainha. And if you already know everything, you can ask Sandra and Ronald for their insider tips...:-)

The breakfast is fantastic. Regional products, often from the hotel's own garden, very varied and always tailored to my needs. It was very tasty and I had two particular favorites (actually everything was among my favorites...): waffles and Sandra's "special eggs". Serena Vista’s location is perfect for the traveler who wants to get away to an ideal country setting and still enjoy all the luxuries of a 5 star boutique hotel and spa. The owners and hosts, Sandra and Ronald, are a couple of fascinating Dutch expats. Their hospitality is extraordinary. Een week vol warmte, rust en verwennerij bij Serena Vista

Ons verblijf bij Serena Vista was in één woord geweldig. Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen, voelden we ons direct welkom. De gastvrouw en gastheer ontvingen ons met zoveel warmte en persoonlijke aandacht dat we meteen het gevoel hadden op een heel bijzondere plek terecht te zijn gekomen.

Iedere ochtend startten we de dag met een ontbijt dat niet alleen overvloedig en smaakvol was, maar ook met liefde was klaargemaakt. Verse ingrediënten, een mooie variatie en telkens weer een verrassing – het maakte dat we iedere dag uitkeken naar dat eerste moment aan tafel.

Na een dag vol indrukken in de prachtige Portugese omgeving was het heerlijk thuiskomen in Serena Vista. De bedden zijn van uitmuntende kwaliteit: groot, comfortabel en uitnodigend. We hebben zelden zo goed geslapen als hier. Het rustige karakter van de locatie draagt daar zeker aan bij – een perfecte balans tussen stilte en gezelligheid.

Wat Serena Vista echter boven alles onderscheidt, zijn de mensen erachter. De gastvrouw en gastheer weten precies de juiste toon te raken: altijd beschikbaar met tips, verhalen en een glimlach, maar nooit opdringerig. Hun zorgzaamheid en hartelijkheid maken van Serena Vista geen gewone accommodatie, maar een plek waar je echt te gast bent.

Wij kijken terug op een week vol rust, genieten en verwennerij. Serena Vista is een plek die we iedereen zouden aanraden die op zoek is naar een bijzondere ervaring in Portugal. Voor ons voelt het meer als een warm thuis weg van huis – en we weten nu al dat we hier zeker...
