HOTEL PUMA — Hotel in Maia

The hotel was perfectly located on my camino route, and was a short walk to a mall which had a lot of food and shopping options. The staff were nice and allowed me to check in earlier. There was an elevator to the upper floors, very nice addition for my tired feet and legs. The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised that the bathroom had a bidet, and the shower had good pressure -- the hot water was especially needed after a long walk. The decor is a bit dated, but still very clean. My concern was the airconditioning unit -- it was quite noisy at some point during my stay, not sure if there was a tight screw in there somewhere. Stayed here with family on the last day of our trip to Portugal.|Josh at the front desk is one of the kindest and most welcoming I have come across in the hospitality industry.|The hotel is super clean and built for energy efficiency and environmentally conscious. Located just 5 minutes drive from Porto airport . It has some free parking spots behind the building and parking was also available along the street, |Breakfast was decent and they even offered to serve us before breakfast hours if we had an early morning flight. We were told that the freshly bakeded items they serve for breakfast arrived daily from the bakery at around 5 am. And boy, they were FRESH!|Rooms are large and everything seemed well maintained.|Great value for money place. I sure recommend and will return...
