Quinta Do Vaqueirinho — Hotel in Marvão

The name "Quinta" is a bit misleading (as it is used in North of Portugal for beautful old Houses) because this is a farm house which is converted to a Agriturismo /Turismo Rural). The rooms are spacious but very simple (spartanic), small tube-TV with 4 DVB-T programs, no heating only AC. Breakfast was Portuguese Standards.||||Positive (why I vote 4of5) was the very nice owner who produces wine, oil and melissa on organic processes (not yet certified), he showed us the winery and the local products. We came for the chestnut festival, we were well received by Zé! Gave us a wine tasting and lots of local history and information. We went inside, the fire 🔥 was warm and welcoming. Local excelente para descansar,abunda o sossego,o silêncio,para quem precisa de paz é um local excelente! A simpatia do Sr José filho e do Sr José pai ,de salientar que o Sr José pai é de educação extrema cumprimenta sempre tirando o seu chapéu de palha ,pois apesar da sua idade ainda trabalha no seu terreno com o filho que é quem recebe os hóspedes,a melhorar de facto o pequeno almoço, comer todos os dias o mesmo é insuportável, tem uma zona para churrasco que nós utilizamos mas por acaso questionámos se era possível fazer, prontamente foi nos disponibilizado tudo (espaço)inclusive podémos utilizar loiça da casa, utensílios de cozinha e ficámos a vontade,o Sr José não coloca obstáculos alguns ! Nos quartos faltam alguns pormenores tais como os pequenos sabonetes de hotel ,de resto tudo limpo! A piscina fomos nós que tivemos que a limpar pois tinha imensos bichos e folhas,a renovação de água estava desligada,vou para descansar e não para limpar nada , isso deve ser feito pelo proprietário e não pelos hóspedes, outra questão,a madeira que envolve a piscina está em mau estado tem parafusos a sair se não tivermos atenção magoamo nos ,no caso de crianças será ainda pior!
