Hotel Boavista I — Hotel in Melgaço

Living in Porto we often make trips to the beautiful Minho region. This is a very rural area. but no shortage of places to stay. The Hotel Boavista is in the small village of Peso near to Melgaso. It is a tradition Portuguese hotel, with all the comfort you could wish for. Lovely friendly reception staff who seemed very pleased to welcome us. Even though they do not speak a lot of English, there is no problem. Our room in the newer part of the hotel, was large, with great views of the area and overlooking the huge swimming pool, also very large bright bathroom and fast internet connection.||Next to the hotel is a park with a spa, being restored to its former glory, here you can drink the water which is said to cure your aches and pains. Experiencia nefasta como nunca. Por primera vez he pedido el libro de reclamaciones. Positivo: alojamiento en general bien, baño muy antiguo pero limpio. Desayuno correcto. Piscina y entorno bien. Negativo: nos dieron una habitación que ya estaba ocupada, entramos y había pertenencias de otras personas. Se disculparon, que había sido un error. Imaginad lo incómodo y el peligro de robos, inseguridad... Pero lo peor fue cuando a la 1 de la mañana, nos entran en la habitación 2 personas. A ellas también les habían dado una habitación ya ocupada. Intranquilidad total, 2 desconocidos nos entraron mientras dormíamos, nosotros gritando por el susto. Las personas nos enseñaron que tenían el mismo número de habitación y tuvieron que volver a pedir tra habitación (igual que nosotros por la tarde). Hemos pagado 85 euros para dormir con temor, para entrar en una habitación ya habitada y para que nos entren mientras dormimos unos desconocidos. Casi no hemos podido ni dormir, al mínimo ruido ya pensábamos que nos volvían a entrar. Ah, y la puerta estaba con el pasador (que tampoco funciona ya que aun así entraron en la habitación).Demencial la inseguridad y poca profesionalidad, en unas horas entregan 2 habitaciones ya ocupadas.
