This hotel is actually in the town of Mirandela not Braganca which is about an hour's drive away.||"Grande" is something of a misnomer for this modern edifice which spoils the view from the south side of the river. However, this is a good thing for the guests since the view from one side of the hotel itself is magnificent. It overlooks the old Roman footbridge and the river. The outdoor pool, sunbathing area and tennis courts are also adjacent to the river. Rooms on this side also have a balcony.||The other side of the hotel where the main entrance is to be found in contrast looks over residential flats. Perhaps because the privileged position of the hotel, the owner has no interest in pleasing the guests.|| I do not recommend, unless you like...
Read moreThis hotel was chosen as it fitted conveniently with our itinerary. The lady on reception was welcoming and helpful. She offered us use of the underground car park (which was very large).||||Our room was facing some blocks of residential flats - not ideal but at least it was only for one night, better to have had river facing room! The room had an odd smell about it as though it had been used by a smoker - but maybe that was only the cleaning materials used. The room though was a decent size and quite comfortable.||||Dinner and breakfast at the hotel were adequate but not inspiring. The internet was difficult to pickup but ok when we found the best place to...
