Verdeal — Hotel in Moimenta da Beira

This is an absolutely amazing hotel. It is located just outside of Moimenta da beira (less than 1 km). Every room is large (North American standards) and has spetacular views. It has a very good restaurant on site and a very complete breakfast is included. It is a family run hotel with excellent service. I travel a great deal and I usualy stay at hotels in the upper end of service. I have no idea why this hotel is only rated as a 3 star hotel. It can easily be 4 stars. In fact, I have stayed at 4 star hotels that were not nearly as nice. Very nice pool and facilities.||Moimenta is a central hub to a number of very interesting places in nothern Portugal. It is about 40 minutes from Viseu (so don't pay for the more expensive hotels there); 40 minutes from Lamego; 40 minutes from Trancoso; and only 10 minutes from Lapa (all very famous places). We came across this after finding the campsite nearby was closed, and wow what a fabulous place to stay, the rooms are a very nice size with a good bathroom with bath and shower combined. The restaurant has excellent food with great service at reasonable prices. So in all its excellent value for money and services with smiles so we will recommend that you give it a go...

I've been staying at Hotel Verdeal for a couple years in a few different occasions.
