The place is actually very rural and beautiful with calm environment, but unfortunately it is run by a very disappointing and non-caring host. The communication was a pure disaster. We arrived at the place after we sent our expected arrival time- no answer or confirmation by the host. We arrived and Noone was there so we were left there with no information and we couldn't ask anyone. so we waited more than half an hour there, trying to contact the host and after the 10th call an angry "WHAT ?" answered the phone. We came into the room and the first thing we saw was 4 dead flies on the floor. The room was probably cleaned a long time before, but it was not checked before we arrived so it wasn't really clean neither was the balcony. Breakfast was listed as included (Screenshot Airbnb) in the price but it was not provided. We literally had to ask the host (who didn't live there) for every little thing because otherwise we wouldn't have essential things. For example he didn't even provide enough toilet paper for the stay. We complained after the first 2 days, because we didn't feel like someone is going to fill it up. The answer of the host was very rude, like it was our fault that noone seemed to take care of that. Then he provided toilet paper but again to little (1 roll) with the explanation "people steal it". Unfortunately two days after that, we completely run out of it and had to use tissues we had. Furthermore we had to ask for changing the sheets and towels after 3 or 4 days because again it was not being taken care of. So we got the day after new sheets and a dirty and smelly towel. Horrible communication, rude host, not clean. We didn't feel welcome at all and for sure we will not...
Read moreWe had the house with two bedrooms and a kitchen/dining room/living room. One shower but two toilets for the two rooms. Very nice terrace with beautiful views and sunset. For the breakfast you go across the road in the morning to get the fresh bread. Everything else--fruit, yogurt, cheese, coffee, ham, etc, is in the fridge, as is some wine and beer. The owner speaks some English, but more Spanish. One bedroom is larger and lighter than the other, but both were quiet and nicely decorated. The bathrooms are very modern. There is good wifi. For dinner you go across the road to Tasca do Petrol, which was very good. This house might not be suitable for small children because the staircase from the bedrooms down to the kitchen is extremely steep. There is, however, a gate you could close, suggesting that children...
Read moreNice place, great view, beautiful kitchen, lovely host. The lights in the room are those white energy saving lamps and it makes the place looks like a horror hospital room, like taking a photograph with super strong flash, very unsettling, no romantic possibilities what so ever ......
