Nomad Planet — Hotel in Montalegre

If you are looking for an unique destination to combine nature and comfort at its best Nomad Planet will be first choice. Overlooking a grand nature the location is an ideal spot. It is easy accessible by car or bike and leaves a lasting impact. The evening we arrived a magic mist covered the mountains so we could only guess what the whole scenery would look like. Sleeping in the yurt was wonderful, all dark und quiet with that distinct smell of wood and goat. The beds are very comfortable, there were plenty of towels and every yurt does supply electricity. It is very spacious and the "window to the stars" above fantastic. We woke up after a long nights' sleep and were brilliantly greeted by a crystal clear morning and ...that view (the full one, now)! After soaking it in for at least one hour we spent even more time at breakfast which is superb only to go back outside again enjoying our tea and pastries with that view again (one more hour). There are four yurts, one tipi housing the kitchen and sitting room and two very comfortabe (purple) bathrooms, one for each gender. You will also find a hot tub and a hammock area at the wooded hill sheltering the tipi and yurt wonderland from other civilization. The place is just amazing, as comfortable as can be with a great breakfast yet in the middle of a magnificent nature. And the owners do the rest to make you...

We were searching in Internet for something really special... The place allowing us to escape from discouraging world... And choosing Nomad Place was a great positive surprise. Fantastic location, great views on the mountains and the lake, very special and original accommodation giving on one hand comfort, on the other hand feeling of being very close to the nature, sleeping in very comfortable yurt with open "chimney" seeing all the stars above you was unforgettable experience. Our young children loved that place - I also see that place as great starting point for hiking trips for a couples... If you are looking for something special - you will not be disappointed at all! The place is owned and managed by Vitor and Marie, great couple making their dreams coming true, they were so helpful to give recommendations what to see and what to do in neighborhood, and we felt Marie's great influence on breakfast menus ;0) - French crepes - unforgettable experience on 900 m attitude served with home made yoghurt ;0)||||We keep fingers crossed for the place especially as Vitor and Marie are planning to keep it open for winter time as well - that will be a real true...

Nomad Planet is run by an adventurous young couple, Victor and Marie (between the two of them, they speak French, English and Portuguese,, maybe more) . We were looking for an alternative calm vacation experience and this spot is ideal. There are beautiful hikes all around, one that leaves from Nomad Planet will take you to a beach like dam-lake after 4 kilometers. There are natural watering holes all around. The yurts are beautiful and sleeping in a round room is great. We chose to keep the roof open for our 4 nights, which allowed for star gazing from our bed. A kitchen is available for preparing basic meals in the tipi that sits amidst the 4 yurts.
