Gosto do Campo — Hotel in Montemor-o-Novo

Incredible place in the middle of tranquil and peaceful countryside! If you're planning to travel to the south of Portugal and landed in Lisbon, escape from its hustle and bustle and stay here, far from any stress and rush. The cottage is extremely cosy, two bedrooms with fully equipped kitchen, freshly picked eggs and warm, just baked bread as a surprise for breakfast! João is an amazing host with plenty beautiful stories to share, warm-hearted and always there to help you! Wake up with roosters singing and gentle bells of sheeps from nearby pastures :)...

We spent 3 delightful days/nights in Gosto do Campo. This is the REAL Alentejo: calm, peaceful, pastoral and disconnected from the crazy stressful life. Joao was so kind and gave us a warm welcome. The place is very well equipped so you can even cook meals there. A great shower with plenty of hot water, a comfortable bed and a sky full of stars at night. We slept soundly and were woken up by the gentle tinkling of the sheep bells going to pasture. It was bliss! We hope to return to this...

We stayed in this charming cottage for two nights and were thoroughly delighted. The veranda was a particularly pleasant spot: sipping coffee surrounded by cork oaks and entertained by the antics of the sheep and lambs.
