If you're looking for a quiet place to get a break from city life and enjoy the sun and nature, this is perfect for that. And if you also want to make day trips to both Algarve and Alentejo, then this is the place! The famous Algarve beaches are a one-hour drive away, and so are the beautiful landscapes of Alentejo. We went to Aljezur and passed through the village and serra of Monchique - very beautiful and impressive!||The hotel is just lovely. Very clean, quiet, comfortable and cozy. Perfect pool and a beautiful view over the mountains. Only a few rooms and few guests. Delicious breakfast and cleaning every day. Drinks and snacks available at the hotel (or you can bring your own) and a good restaurant just down the hill. (Open for lunch and dinner). And I personally enjoyed very much the possibility to swim in the pool any time, also at night. (In moonlight, how cool is that!) There's not much more than that in the village, so if you want to do some activities you will probably have to go somewhere by car. That was not a problem for us, but the mountain roads were a bit challenging, especially at night and after a few glasses of wine...||This place would be perfect just to stay in here for a few days and not go anywhere. Bring a book and good company, just laze by the pool and eat good food. Unfortunately we only had 4 nights, and wanted to visit many places so didn't have so much time to stay at the hotel. Away from the crowds of southern Portugal, deep in the heart of unspoiled rural part of the country. Time had stopped there. Perhaps that's why shrewd residents of Algarve are seeking refuge among the hills and away from tourist prices. Vera and her husband are making everything possible and impossible to create very authentic and yet very comfortable experience for their guests. From fantastic breakfast to complimentary glass of wine...Highly recommend to see if for what it is, a rustic farm house that was opened for those who look for peace and serenity. By any means it is not a place for those who are looking for Glamping. It is a new kind of luxury where suffocating urban dwellers can unplug from their crazy pace and watch sunsets and sunrises from the garden on the top...

Hemos estado alojados y la verdad que el precio es muy elevado para lo que ofrecen. Hemos pagado 128€ la noche para dos adultos y un niño.

La habitación es reducida, la caja supletoria incómoda, las almohadas muy mejorables, el baño incómodo, del grifo salen restos de color negro (pequeños puntos, como si fuera moho o arena negra) y no hay nevera. Eso sí, está limpia.

Después de leer los comentarios esperaba un desayuno que dejara huella y desde luego que lo ha hecho: es la primera vez que por un importe tan elevado me ponen por delante pan (sin opción de tostar), unos trozos de bizcocho, fruta ya cortada (prefiero manipular yo la fruta), queso y embutido y poco más. Lo mejor era el zumo de naranja que es natural y el queso cortado (no el de loncha). Las tartas caseras a las que hacen referencia en comentarios no las probamos. Lo que sí había era bizcocho pero industrial.

Lo que te ponen en la mesa, que por cierto es poco y te vas con hambre, es lo que puedes comer y si pides algo más, no lo niegan pero se nota que incomoda y traen muy poco. Solo te preguntan si quieres café, leche o algún cereal o yogur. Pero nadie nos explicó cómo funcionaba el desayuno. No comprendo cómo no tienen un pequeño buffet y que cada cliente coma lo que quiera porque lo que no sé consume, ¿se tira? ¿Va al plato de otro cliente? ¿Por qué pago caro algo que no quiero comer y tengo que desayunar lo que me ponen por delante sin poder elegir?

De verdad... Quién dice que el desayuno es excelente y abundante será porque a diario come galletas María...

Luego, la zona de la piscina está bien salvo si toca viento, algo muy común en la zona. Aparte, tienen un pequeño bar donde ofrecen bebidas, patatas de bolsa, helados y sándwich. No es un sitio para almorzar ni cenar, pero está muy bien tener esa opción. Para este fin, lo único que hay es un restaurante que se ve desde la colina y que pertenece a los dueños de este alojamiento.

Finalmente, esa amabilidad que había leído en los comentarios de verdad que no la notamos. Había una mujer pero no era especialmente amable, incluso...
