Hotel Contriz — Hotel in Póvoa de Varzim

HOTEL CONTRIZ was a very FABULOUS experience! I arrived there for a long-term stay in late June 2025||The SUITE was very comfortable with a view of the countryside of Povoa de Varzim, with an ensuite bathroom and all the amenities you need.||The lobby area provides a cozy decour for guest enjoyment with a play station and a pool table, and there is always FREE GRATIS Tea CHA, Water Aqua, and Coffee Cafe 24/7 during your stay at the hotel. The dining area offers guests a place to RELAX and make food with a microwave, kettle, and dishes until midnight.||The hotel offers 29 rooms on 4 floors. The location is convenient to city attractions, there is a marketplace fair held on SUNDAYS, and a short 10-minute drive is the city center of POVOA de VARZIM.||The staff are very PROFESSIONAL under the LEADERSHIP of General Manager (GM) Sergio. Everyone working there is friendly, and very hospitable. The owners BROTHER IRMOES, RAUL, MARIA, Joao, and the entire staff do a WONDERFUL job!||They make your stay feel HOMELY, and you always feel WELCOME. Truly a find. This hotel is just 28 years old but it's large rooms,with balconies, high ceilings, solid wood doors with elegant hardware, marble entryway steps give the feel of a hotel from an earlier era. Some of the rooms have a separate seating area, all are large and well furnished. ||||Not located in a busy metropolitan area but beaches, bars,restaurants and shopping are just minutes away as is a golf course. ||||Begin each day with a bountiful breakfast with scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, cereal, an abundance of fresh bakery items and a large selection of fruits. Sono stata qui nel 2017 con la mia migliore amica.||Inizialmente, recandoci con la macchina verso l'hotel, pensammo di esser finite chissà dove, per il poco e niente che circondava quel paesino, un po' sperduto.||Arrivammo la sera tardi verso l'una ma non ci fu nessun problema, trovammo una persona gentilissima ad accoglierci a quell'ora, completando il nostro check-in.||Camera doppia decisamente carina, abbastanza grande e soprattutto molto pulita.||Materasso comodissimo che ci ha permesso una bella dormita dopo il viaggio.||L'indomani, un buffet a colazione magnifico ci stava aspettando nella sala da pranzo, tutta molto ordinata e graziosa.||Colazione internazionale, dal dolce al salato ma le brioche del Contriz sono uno dei più bei ricordi del cibo portoghese. (e tra Porto, Lisbona ed Albufeira ne assaggiammo di altre eh!)||Posizione dell'hotel a circa 15 minuti di macchina dal centro di Porto, parcheggio gratuito e località decisamente tranquilla.||Per quanto ci siamo trovate bene, dopo varie disavventure tra alberghi di Lisbona ed Albufeira, decidemmo di ritornare al Contriz per passare l'ultima notte.||Ci consegnano le chiavi di una camera spaziale! Vicina vicina a considerarla una suite! Un super letto matrimoniale alto e largo con queste lenzuola bianco candido, un balcone enorme. Tutto perfetto!||Consigliatissimo, non dubitate della posizione.. sicuramente meglio alloggiare al Contriz ad un prezzo stra conveniente e farsi qualche minuto in più di macchina, che trovare qualcosa nel centro da far venire i brividi (esperienza personale...
