We were welcomed warmly after a difficult section of the Caminho. We had a swim in the crystal clear pool and then went for a few minutes walk through the countryside to the charming village and church before dinner. Wilson offered us the choice of dinner at the Casa, at a local restaurant or make your own in the common-area kitchen (next to the common lounge where drinks were available in the fridge on an honesty system). We chose the in-house option. Dinner at C d Capela was delicious: a home-cooked meal of very generous portions. Wilson and staff go the extra distance to make you feel welcomed. (They also offered a vegetarian option). The beds were lovely and the bed linen was sunshine fresh; a dream to climb into bed. The shower was very clean and the water was hot. Perfect after our big walking day. Breakfast was a choice of cereals, fruit, home made yoghurt (beautifully mild and fresh....clever cook here!). The village is very quiet and we had a great sleep. Casa do Capela is a charming, warmly hosted property and it was a pleasure staying there. Lovely!...

The Best Stay on Our Camino!

Casa da Capela was without a doubt the best place we’ve stayed on the entire Camino. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The owners are kind, genuine, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

The food was absolutely superb — the best we’ve had on our journey — homemade, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with love. The atmosphere was warm and peaceful, with a sense of care in every detail of the house.

When my aunt suffered badly with blisters, they didn’t hesitate to help — arranging a taxi and ensuring she received proper care. Their kindness and generosity truly touched us.

If you’re walking the Camino, do not miss staying here. It’s a place that restores your body and lifts your spirit — a beautiful haven of...

After a very long day from Ponte de Lima on the Camino we were so happy to have booked here. Hosts were beyond friendly warm and accommodating. adorable place, spectacularly clean. Rooms are comfortable, bathroom clean and filled with everyone you need. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner of warm inviting soup, beef stew and the most delicious flan. What a way to end our day. Our luggage was mistakenly placed in a wrong lodging but our hostess was willing to take her car to collect it (we were still considering her offer) when without even asking us, made the arrangement to have it sent here. Who does that? Treat yourself to this delightful hotel. You will...

Beautiful family run boutique hotel in the perfect location on the El Camino trail. Recently renovated this large old cottage and chapel have been beautifully finished with modern amenities and furnishings. There is a lovely pool area with a hot tub set in a wonderful manicured grounds. There is a bar and you can arrange for a perfect three course home cooked dinner. Such a great vibe from this happy friendly family, we loved our stay.

Right on the Camino Way. First impressions were great, green manicured lawns, shade trees and a swimming pool. Add a cold beer and you have the perfect location to relax after a gruelling day climbing Labruja Mountain. The owners are a young couple that are doing a great job. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the home cooked evening meal and breakfast were adequate and well presented. No hesitation in recommending this property.
