Paredes Design Hotel — Hotel in Paredes

It's a place you need to travel by car or be brought there for business , otherwise you end up the middle of nothing. The name should rather be "Deco-Hotel" , but this might be a language problem (not just portugese) to understand what's design and what's decoration. The breakfast is served in huge conference room which (looking toward the inside has something of a bunker, looking outside is much better, looking at grass and trees. The breakfast-buffet is good , the coffee so " la la" (depends from what country you're coming ), the rooms are nice and clean , the personal a bit "closed" but friendly. The selection of TV-channels rather local, a list where to find non-portugese channels is not existing . Taken out for dinner from my client I had no chance to try their evening...

I don’t know even where to start. The rooms are so old, beaten down, and in need of maintenance that I worry about the overall hygiene of the place. The smell to mold is alarming as soon as you enter the room, and it continues with stained carpets, broken plugs, switches that don’t work, dirty furniture, and just overall an extremely outdated room. I find the name of Paredes Design Hotel to be sarcastic at best, a scam at worst. The hotel is just on side of the national road and you can hear every. Single. Car. And motorcycle that goes by as if you were there in the street, impossible to sleep if someone that is sensitive to sound (and even if you’re not) Staff is overall unhelpful. This place should be...

Siento decir que no entiendo la valoración ni las opiniones que dan a este hotel como bien valorado, a no ser que al cliente privado lo traten como merece cualquier cliente. Estuvimos un grupo grande la semana pasada y parece que por aquello de ajustar los precios llegaban a nuestras mesas las sobras del comedor principal, con comida muy repetitiva y recalentada, recordando día tras día que trajeran el aceite y el vinagre para las ensaladas. Entiendo aquello de ajustar los precios, pero hace falta poca imaginación para no saber hacer un menú variado y de bajo precio habiendo tanto donde elegir. En cuanto a la habitación (la 508), era una habitación grande pero mal cuidada y sin ningún mantenimiento. En la jabonera de la ducha había una pastilla de jabón del anterior cliente, el brazo de la ducha estaba sujeto con cinta aislante, un pasador de la puerta se nos cayó y yo mismo tuve que ponerlo para sujetar la puerta. En los armarios del dormitorio, la puerta que tapaba la nevera no se podía abrir y cuando se abría se te venía la puerta encima porque estaba suelta la bisagra superior. Ah! se me olvidaba, los colchones con los muelles que se te clavaban en todo el cuerpo. Lástima que quise ser tolerante y no pedí que me la cambiaran, porque día a día iban surgiendo más cosas. Me consta que otras habitaciones de otros compañeros de viaje también tenían desperfectos y falta de mantenimiento. Estaba claro que estas habitaciones iban destinadas a los grupos por aquello de ajustar los precios. No entiendo que si no interesan los grupos los acepten y...
