Quinta de Cypriano - Wine and Nature — Hotel in Ponte da Barca

Stayed in this hotel with a group of friends and it couldn't have been better. The rooms are great with an amazing view over the river, each room has a really pleasant balcony, and refreshingly the rooms do not have TVs so you can actually enjoy nature and just read and relax (my understanding is that TVs are available upon request though). The lady running the place is called Leonor, and she booked a SUP (Stand up Paddle) tour downriver for us - it was really worth it and was a great way to spend a morning. Leonor took care of everything during our stay and was always available for help whether it be booking restaurants, activities, wine tasting etc. I would definitely consider going back as this "quinta" has the perfect mixture of new and modern rooms but a traditional quinta with grand rooms which you can also...

We stayed here for three nights as a family with two teenagers. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, and quietly located. It was convenient that the rooms could be connected.

The view from the property is beautiful, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Breakfast was served daily and included fresh, local products such as homemade jam, pastries, and fruit.

One afternoon, we joined the on-site wine tasting. It was well organized, with a clear explanation and a selection of wines produced on the estate.

The host, Leonor, is friendly and attentive. She gladly shares the story behind the house and is happy to help arrange activities in the area.

We found Quinta do Cypriano online when we were hunting for places that offered wine tasting experiences . Since it didn’t have many reviews , we were a little bit on the defense . But let me tell you, it was so worth it. The property is beautiful and slowly being restored. Leonor ( the owner and guide ) was a very good host. We walked around the vineyards where we learned about its history and what characteristics are inherent to verde wine. We also learned about cypriano’s history and heritage. In the end, we tried 4 different wines paired with a lovely charcuterie board 10/10 recommend this...
