Casa da Joaninha — Hotel in Ponte de Lima

My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed at Casa da Joaninha from Sept 19 - Sept 27, 2023. I think this is the best AirBnB I have ever stayed at. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, excellent coffee maker, kettle, good dishes, pots and pans, oil and some spices and herbs. The photos are representative of the home. The home was very clean. There is laundry, washer and dryer, available at the home with a laundry line outside, which I loved. Rita is an excellent host, making certain that we were easily able to access the house. She even had a wonderful welcome basket of bread, cheese, meat and a bottle of lovely Vinho Verde. She also booked us a reservation at a nearby restaurant, and the food was excellent there. She sent to us a lot of information about where to go for groceries and what activities and places there are to visit in the surrounding area. The garden was beautiful, with lots of space and places to eat outside. The home itself is so charming. The original stone building is old, and the renovations are top notch, making it very comfortable with all amenities, but retaining the beauty of the older building. The windows have excellent views. Everyplace we planned to visit in the north of Portugal was so close, only short drives. There is parking at the house, on the stone ramp. A very friendly neighbour gave us great advice on how to park safely on the ramp. And there are wonderful walks right from the house. The area is so quiet, it is a place of rest and restoration. Casa super acolhedora, Todo o espaço no interior e o jardim com uma apresentação, limpeza e arrumação exemplar! Os 2 quartos com bastante espaço de arrumação. Uma sala com um ambiente suave e espaçosa. A cozinha com todas as comodidades para uma utilização prática e totalmente equipada. Quanto ao jardim, espaço enorme com espaço de descanso, lazer e mesmo a zona de churrascos bem separada da zona de descanso, esta também equipada com mesa para a refeição no exterior. Em conclusão, espaço ideal para um tempo de descanso com a família com crianças ou amigos. 2 pontos de realce: O primeiro para quem tem crianças de primeiros anos, a escada de acesso ao piso inferior tem um aplicação para fechar o acesso e evitar qualquer acidente de queda das crianças. Tivemos o privilégio de este ano podermos explorar melhor o Minho e não podíamos ter sido mais bem recebidos. A D.Rita sempre prestável para responder às minhas dúvidas. A casa é maravilhosa. Airosa, de decoração simples mas harmoniosa, muito acolhedora e a perdição da pequenada. O jardim muito bem cuidado e até tiveram atenção ao pormenor de ter lá plantado hortelã,alecrim e Lúcia lima. O trampolim fez as delícias dos meus filhotes até mesmo a chover nada os movia de lá😊 Tal como nas nossas casas não senti falta de nada, a cozinha estava apetrechada com tudo o que é necessário e éramos 5.
