A pleasant stay, but definitely not 5 stars. The facilities looked good (although due to the pandemic they couldn’t be fully used) and the staff was very friendly and helpful, but there were several things that could have been much better. The hotel was cold, uncomfortable, with some things needing repair and with awful internet service.

We went in January, with below 5º temperatures, so one with expect the hotel to be warm and cozy. Unfortunately no, it was cold in general. The hallways were very cold and the room, even with the AC set to 27º, was only mildly comfortable, like sleep with sweater comfortable. Little things like the room toilet, shower, or sink, were in need of repair or were clogged or leaking. And the worst of all, the internet service was awful. The wireless network is unprotected and the internet speed in terribly slow, so simple things like browsing, Twitter, or Instagram, are almost impossible. And because the room tv uses IPTv, trying to watch tv is also a terrible experience, with slow channel zapping and with constant sound and image glitches and slowdowns. We also used the indoor heated swimming pool, which was alright, but inexplicably one had to exit the hotel and go outside (in bathrobes and slippers through the cold and rain) to go to that building, there’s no connection through the interior... Eating was also a mixed bag, but that has more to do with the pandemic restrictions than with the hotel itself. But while the breakfast was only good (not great), the restaurant (which we went during dinner) had amazing food. We had a mushroom risotto and a codfish on rice, and they were both very very good. Even the bread and butters were incredible. And through all this, the service and staff were always very friendly and helpful.

We had a good time, but didn’t feel like this was a 5 star hotel or 5 star experience. So come and enjoy the hotel and the surroundings, but set your...

This was the second NAU hotel that I've been to, and the trend is clear - despite being rated as a 5-star hotel, it's not nearly as good as many 4-star hotels that I've been to.||||This hotel in particular has a bad AC situation. Only the rooms have AC, meaning that the rest of the hotel is uncomfortably hot, which is worsened by the fact that it's located in a very hot region already. The gym also doesn't have AC, so working out there can be very uncomfortable.||||The rooms leave a lot to wish for, for a 5-star hotel. There's little to no privacy in the bathroom, since it's not a separate room, and the only thing separating the bedroom from the bathroom is a glass door to a cubicle where the toilet and bidet are.||||The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, with most points of interest and establishments over 30 minutes away by car, which means that it's not a very good hotel choice if one would like to go out for dinner sometimes or explore the region.||||I'd say that the best part of my stay at this hotel was the Lobby Bar, which server amazing hamburgers (the Hamburger Lobby is particularly great). However, the chef(s) need to get familiar with meat temperatures, as I requested rare/medium-rare every single time and it was always served as a medium-well. The prices at the hotel are ridiculously high, though, with the aforementioned hamburger costing 14€ each. One two-person meal easily surpasses 35€, something that didn't happen at the first NAU hotel that I visited.||||This hotel is likely not an option for a future vacation, mainly due to the heat and lack of AC in common areas of the hotel, and also for the prices being far too high for the...

Starting with the negatives first that explain why i didn’t consider it a 5* experience. I came here on the first summer (post-covid) June 2022, the pool bars were all closed even though they had servers do ocasional round ups on the pool asking orders, the activities (jet ski, boat rental and other lake activites) were also unavailable so was the Lake club ammenities as it was served by a 3rd party, in the spa circuit all of the pool jets weren’t working and i would expect the water to be much warmer. On my first night my AC wasn’t working but they very promptly changed me to another room, during my first breakfast i had to wait up to 10min for the fried eggs to be replaced in the buffet and 1 hours into breakfast started there was no granola already available (i’ll imagine that was a one time thing, not a recurring event), also to note that the bacon was the soft cheap one which would not be expected in a resort/hotel with this price point. As a final point, i found the kids playground was a bit small. On the other side, the rooms are good, clean with mini bar, complementary expresso machine in the room, the views and atmosphere are amazing (day and night), plenty of pools to choose from 2 indoor and 7 outdoor (excluding pools on villas), one of the pools is inclusively reserved for +16 year olds for extra tranquility. At the end i concluded that with all amenities being available (like im sure they were pre-covid) it would be well worth the cost. As of the time of this review i believed it to be on the higher spectrum of price to quality/experience (slightly...

Great location and stunning views but dear me, the food/service wasn’t not great. This is my first poor review, I am posting because I believe in constructive feedback. Easy check-in, but why being forced to get the towels in reception and bring it back there during check-out? Give us by the pools instead - had to go back to the room to pick up wet and dirty old towels. Forcing the customer to go back to the room to pick up a wet dirty towel, it is a 5* hotel! The pool/bar staff, not a single one that I have good memories of. They made a pregnant woman wait for ages without a single ounce of kindness - you don’t have a toaster in a place that is famous for its toasts!?! How??? And the drink prices, not cheap and the quality is lacking to say the least. We decided to buy supermarket drinks instead, I would prefer to give that money to the hotel and chill instead. Let’s talk about breakfast, Portugal is well known for stunning Algarve oranges, why are you serving juices from concentrate?!? Overcooked everything, bacon, eggs and when asking the chef, “this is what is available”. Look at the burned edges of the bacon(in the attached photos), two days in a row. I can eat a late kebab without issues. I have uploaded the photos to show that am not having a go for no reason. My opinion won’t matter anyways because of where it is located, people will just go there anyways - for that one person that looks past that and values their hard earned cash, hope this was helpful…
