Aldeia Oliveiras — Hotel in Proença-a-Nova

We sent on September for a peaceful weekend. This small village is very preserved, clean and it is logical that is treated with care and love. The host Mr Tomé was really kind and explained everything about our lovely house as well as where to eat and the nearby river beaches (a lot of options!). Be aware of your dinner hour upon arrival the majority of the nearby restaurants close around 9pm. Parking available nearby the houses.

The houses are really well equipped, with a nice backyard with amazing views (and cats!) Don’t expect wifi, for us was a relief actually. The breakfast is left on the fridge for the rest of the staying (simple, but enough). For bath, everything was also provided. We found some books also, which was nice.

The pool was clean and very pleasant. It is shared with other guests, The space is also prepared for barbecue, with a very big table for groups or families.

We have just returned from a really lovely stay in this unique holiday village. It is an old village that has been refurbished into accommodation holiday lettings. Very authentic and comfortable with everything you need for the perfect break away from the Hussle and bustle of everyday life. The pictures really don't do this place Justice. The swimming pool is amazing and the gardens are so picturesque. It's a definite winner....a little...

Perto de tudo mas "longe do mundo"... a Aldeia é o local ideal para fugir ao ritmo louco dos dias de hoje. A simpatia dos proprietários com a receção de toda a aldeia faz-nos sentir parte dela. A casas são acolhedoras e com as condições dos dias de hoje. A aldeia e o percurso que fazemos mal chegamos transporta-nos para outro tempo...a história os cheiros os sons...sentimo-nos parte da história e conseguimos imaginar as dificuldades que sentiam em outros tempos. Fomos presenteados ao pequeno almoço com um pão doce (bolo finto) e uma compota deliciosa feita a partir de frutas e legumes locais (ainda estamos a adivinhar o que deu origem a tal delicadeza mas impetuoso sabor). A envolvência e a proximidade da Praia fluvial de Froia, tornam as caminhadas e comunhão com a natureza mais um bom motivo a juntar á escolha da...
