Hotel composed of unique spaces, such as the history present in the LIBRARY through pieces that are much more than just decorative. Helpful, friendly staff, with tailor-made solutions, even for difficult guests. The Restaurant is breathtaking for its magnificence left by the mixture of the 5m high wall in stone and the top of wooden beams The spa is a bit neglected, which is a shame when there is an increasingly growing market linked to personal health and well-being Diverse continental breakfast, with scrambled eggs and bacon, cooked to order, the highlight of the meal and, in the property next to the hotel, we have the bungalows area, the outdoor swimming pool with bar, and the ecological farm with animals for the children's delight. The bungalows are arranged around a huge lawn with walkways connecting each one. Charming bungalows, with balanced architecture and built with natural materials in the acoustic, thermal improvement... I loved the hotel but it could be improved through uniformed spaces with more use in each and every one

We stayed at the hotel for four days. First, the rooms are really nice, the staff super friendly and very keen, the pool is great. But the zoo is just .. and an absolute animal crul. Animals with stereotypical behavior (recurring behaviors turn circles, up and down..), extremely dirty cages, dirty water. Far too small cages, rabbits on lattice floor, hardly any food, donkeys unkempt hooves, parrot with trimmed feathers. A meerkat was kept alone. None of the meerkats could dig tunnels. It stank. The enclosures of the other animals were also far too small and there was no employment for them. Just awf0l How arrogant humans must be, to believe other animals exist for our use.

We were suprised with the quality of this hotel in the heart of Serra d'Aire. It's quiet as quiet can be, the bungalows are conveniently located in a separate area and the whole hotel space is beautiful. We had a couples massage which wasn't particularly impressive, but to be honest it doesn't harm the rating we'd give to the overall experience. We'd recommend (and go again) in a heartbeat. I know it's something that doesn't get mentioned often but each bungalow has a dedicated outdoor electricity outlet so, yes, you can charge you EV there.

This is a tightly run 'ship' ! It's actually a foundation that the owner set up to honour his family. It's a one-of-kind property in this quiet part of Portugal as there is not much in the immediate area unless you want to visit some furniture storerooms.

There are ample facilities and grounds. There is even an mini animal park for the children to visit. Rooms are clean and hygienic with comfortable beds. There are plenty of cycles to use. An indoor heated swimming pool is available. A billiards table is provided, and a library for some quiet time.

The location is a good central one not far from historic Tomar, Batalha, Alcobaça, Obidos, and Fatima. Lisbon is around 90 minutes with toll or 2 hours without.

The property has several fairly new additions that are the bungalows (T2 & T1s) separated from the main building. Those with handicaps can be taken to any part of the property by one of their golf carts. The new part of the property also plans to host conferences when it's business as usual. This new area is close by the swimming pool and a mini independent exhibit of Meerkats / Suricates (that are small mongooses). The main building with standard rooms (across a lane) has been well kept and was completed around 13 years ago.

The property organises a meat barbeque on Saturdays that features crustaceans and if you request it, they will prepare a grilled fish or so. Not for Vegetarians! The only gripe for this event was the 'nos pimba' style modern Portuguese dance music that was played outside (though seemed to put folks in a good mood). If you want more quiet then inside is the...
