Just returned from a 2 week stay at this 4* hotel. I’m from the UK a solo older male traveller and was very happy that all the reception staff spoke good English ! The word “Attitude” in the title accurately describes what this hotel is all about. No Complaints whatsoever with the service I received, and the rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained by the dedicated staff ! The “Theme” of the hotel is modern contemporary and “Black” hard to explain but everything is “Black” from the bedroom fittings (lights, décor, etc}…everything is black! This is not a bad thing but has disadvantages - The corridor that leads to your rooms are “DARK “ The only lighting is at floor level. So especially on the first visit it was difficult to spot your room number on the doors - OK after a few attempts I got used to this, but I still feel that better lighting is really needed! Food at Breakfast is very good – lots to choose from and does change slightly from day to day. They have a “Bar Snacks” menu which is available most of the day which was good and reasonably priced. I had one evening meal in the restaurant (which you can’t just decide on the spur of the moment!) You have to pre-book it which I find a real shame and haven’t been used to these restrictions in my home country or anywhere I have been on holiday before – only Portugal which is a big shame as the food was really good, and the price was what you would accept from a hotel. Perhaps this is the reason at 7.30 pm I was the ONLY person in the restaurant (someone did arrive later) So not exactly the best atmosphere eating in a deserted restaurant. Lovely swimming pool with “Sun Beds” almost in the pool ! a really great atmosphere and they had “Black” parasols you could operate yourself if the sun was too strong, The music they played in the outdoor areas including the swimming pool was excellent IMO and used I “Shazam” on my phone to find out what the songs were and glad I did. They also have a Spa which is chargeable but I didn’t use this. I have to point out one thing that bugged me which even though they have “Maintenance” staff on site this has been either ignored over overlooked… The area outside the bar where there are covered tables for drinking and meals etc,- they have Black “Railway sleepers” sunk into the ground – yes looks great and a nice feature ! But and a big but – These black sleepers have warped over time and have become loose – the result is – if your table is sitting on one of these “Loose sleepers” and you have drinks and food on your table – then some unknowing person walks by and treads on the loose sleeper under your table then all your drinks spill ! like they did to mine ! And you can’t blame the bloke for heavy feet “! It’s not his fault it’s those blooming sleepers which have probably never been looked at since the day they were installed. Come on Maintenance staff !! get this sorted for future guests ! Ok Gripe over and if you are still reading this then YES a good hotel but you need a car or be happy to take UBER’s everywhere. There is a great LIDL next door which the prices are unbelievably cheep compared to the UK ! Lucky you who live in Portugal !! I only found one other restaurant / bar - 8 min walk away from the hotel behind the petrol station called the “Cabana bar” in AMORA – This was a Godsend, and they did great value meals and drinks!! Very friendly staff and super company to tourists. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!

The hotel was extremely nice and quiet, although not enough lighting sometimes. The hotel is located in a very calm area with some services and possible activities around, some walkability is possible. The room was very spacious, clean and well designed. I just wish that the hotel had better lighting throughout the building, they have black walls, floors and ceilings and sometimes it's just too dark, especially in the hallways. Breakfast was very good and complete with just negative points for the awful automatic coffee machine which produces some of the worst coffee drinks possible... It doesn't make sense for a hotel with this quality to not invest in a better machine. Overall it was a great experience but if your objective is to go to Lisbon city center in work or leisure, this is not he best option due to the crazy amounts of traffic throughout the day.

The hotel is new and stylish. A little bit too dark and bizarre in my opinion. The check in process was quick but the receptionist wasn’t very nice nor helpful. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The only thing that bothered me is the clear walls of the bathroom. I was there with my fiancé but still we don’t need to each other in that situation. One annoying thing that happened, and it seemed like no accident, is that the cleaning ladies didn’t took out dishes left from room service we ordered. Instead they left them on the floor at the room door, it felt like some passive aggressive act. The breakfast is awesome and totally worth it. The pool was very nice and clean, it was really fun to hang around / in the pool day or night. Few things to notice, it’s not really close to Lisbon so if you plan to get to Lisbon from there you better have a car.

If you are the sort of person that enjoys the noxious perfume of air fresheners and indifferent customer service, you may be able to tolerate this place. We had booked 5 nights here - the reviews are pretty positive, so we had high hopes. On check-in we were greeted by a shy and poorly trained 'child' receptionist who was unable to explain anything about the hotel other than directions to our room. We went to look at the 'spa' and were disappointed to find that that our stay did not include entry to the indoor pool, and this would cost €12 per person per day. The hotel decor has been described by many people in reviews - it is black: walls, ceilings, mannequins, floors - the lighting just can't penetrate it, and the place looks gloomy, in a modern gothic sort of way. On taking the elevator to our room (323) we were overcome with the strong air-freshener smell - thinking perhaps this was to mask some other smell, we went to our room - where that too smelt of air-freshener or perfume - a nasty overpowering strong artificial smell. We opened the balcony door to a view of the road to air the room and get rid of the smell, it wasn't a busy road so we didn't worry too much - even though our booking said a room with a view.. evidently this meant a view of the petrol station.. On retiring to bed, we noticed that the pillows and bedding were saturated with the perfume smell that pervades the hotel.. Not nice! Breakfast was a farce - the children that run this hotel could not cope with the number of people in the dining room and many items such as coffee, bread, pastries, hot food items and fruit were not available. There were a couple of bowls of what looked like trifle jelly and some cheese however.. Though we had booked 5 nights here - we asked to see the manager, Mr Wehbe, at 10:30am and told him we were going to check out and outlined the reasons why. It appears that when we booked our stay, the booking company linked from the hotel's own website had taken the full value of the 5 nights from our credit card - we obviously asked for a refund.. but were told that we would have to take that up with their booking agent HOTUSA who are based in Spain.. After a couple of calls and subsequent visits back to reception (who had initially told us they could not process this, then they could only do it when a receptionist returned from leave later in the week) - a representative of HOTUSA called us to tell us that we would be charged for 2 nights and refunded for 3 - when we asked why, we were told that it was now past the 12:00 checkout time! We completed a Livro de Reclamacoes (official complaint) form - and left a message for the general manager Mr Farid Wehbe that we were not pleased by their dishonesty - but not wishing to ruin or holiday or waste time arguing further we left for another hotel. Not a nice experience - and this hotel...

Where to start..DONT BELIEVE THE PHOTOS ON THE WESITE!!!||I have included actual up to date pictures of this hotel..||This place is in a state of disrepair, the poolside and outdoor area is really badly needing updated, or renewed..even just cleaning the place would be a start.||The gym (this is what I was looking to use the most) didn’t have any working weight machines , and the elliptical was broken, this only left the treadmill which looked like it might have broken if I stood on it ..||The receptionist seemed totally surprised that the gym was in the most part out of order , it was all an act of course as this had obviously been like this for some time, (the elliptical had basically seized up)and the signage had been stuck on the machines for a while.. it never took much to see this was all an act on the staffs behalf.|I was so disgusted will the state of the place I asked if we could be refunded ..the receptionist said she would get the manager and let me know ..I never heard back from her or the manager or the receptionist over the following 2 days.||The spa and pool was very uninviting , the spa smelled like pond water on entrance so I never dared to actually go through with going into the water..||This place looked amazing on the website and we do feel like we have been scammed out of our money here..very disappointing as this was supposed to be our pampering and relaxation days on this holiday.||We paid around £400 for our stay and never used the gym, spa or pool , in fact we got out of the hotel as soon as we could each day and stayed away until dark ..||We are from the UK and I have never been so underwhelmed by a hotel||The room bed was good and the breakfast was good, ..the safe didn’t work in the room and there was no iron.|||Bad show, we are actually looking forward to leaving today...
