Hotel Dos Zimbros — Hotel in Sesimbra

Friendly staff on arrival, the room was a good surprise with a confortable and large bed, a good view and spacious. It has a good location, although the hotel is located right next to road, at night there are only a few cars passing by. It is required to make a reservation to use the jacuzzi which is great cuse it allows you to have total privacy. The shower it not well built and the floor gets soaking wet no matter how careful you are. We made a reservation for the jacuzzi at 8pm (night) and when we got there all the lights were off, the water was way too cold for a jacuzzi and it had too much chemicals. In the morning of Valentines Day we woke up early in hope of getting a freshly cooked breakfast and instead we got a disgusting one the was probably there for 2 ou 3 days... The bread was from the previous day, the juice was smelly and sour, some of the charcuterie products were rotten, some of the fruit was rotten and smelly as well. I have travelled a lot and this was by far the worst meal i have ever had on a hotel, even in hostels i had better breakfasts than this one on a 4 star hotel. It was a complete dissapointment, not even my dog would eat...

Total scam!!

The hotel stands in the middle of nowhere. The toilet takes around 2 minutes to flush. What they call gym is a room with 3 bycicles. What they call game room is a room with an 8 ball pool table and table football. The restaurant has been out of service for almost a year yet they still have it in the hotel description.

The whole point of this establishment is to invest the minimum possible on every amenity just to be able to have it announced on booking websites.

The floor of the sauna was dirty and the jacuzi only had 1 of 7 jets releasing water and the bubble holes at the bottom were also unactivated. On the bottom floor, you can see the walls tearing apart and lots of wall filling not even disguised. Some signs and warnings around the hotel have spelling mistakes.

The shower neither has a door nor curtains, only a meter long glass wall that lets water out to the floor. The decoration is also very monotone. They tried to be modern and failed.

The sign at the top of the entrance doesn't have a logo anymore, but still has the marks of it being there.

The only reason not to give 1 star is because the staff was...

It's a pity that this hotel, situated in a beautiful quiet area and with an interesting and modern building is clearly not being well managed....||The room, the first I've seen without a desk in years, was not carefully cleaned, and in the bathroom I even found an empty roll of toilet paper... In the second day, the plastic wrap from the soap was still sitting there and a lot of spots looked like they had never seen any cleaning..||The heating wasn't working so I complained in the morning. In the second evening it was still not working. When I commented on that I just got one of those answers like "unfortunately, the heating is not working in the entire building"||The TV only had a few channels setup and it had some signal problem that made it very annoying to watch... and the WiFi was very slow.||Finally, the breakfast was not terrible but it had some plates with plastic film warping, a clear sign that it wasn't fresh and that the person in charge didn't even bother to remove it before displaying it...||I will definitely not...
