Moinho do Barulho — Hotel in Silves

We had a fantastic stay at Moinho Barulho. The bedroom is magical, one of the most special spots we’ve stayed at in a long while. The annex is super cosy, with both AC and a fireplace. The kitchenette is fully equipped, you can cook your meals and cosy up in the sofa to watch some Netflix on the flat screen TV. This spot is perfect to work remotely for a few days and then relax over the weekend. There is fast wifi all across the property, both in the indoor and outdoor spaces. Our dog Leia was living her best life sprinting up and down the private, endless fields! It’s a closed off property, which means that pets can run and explore freely. The pool area is wonderful and has gorgeous views over green fields. The sunrises and sunsets are to die for. Die Inhaber haben diese alte Mühle zu einem kleinen Schmuckstück umgebaut. Im Mühlenturm ist ein Schlafzimmer und ein Sanitärbereich eingerichtet. Im unteren Haus mit separatem Eingang ist ein großer Raum, der als Eßzimmer, Küche, Fernsehzimmer und zusätzliches Schlafzimmer, mit ausziehbarem Gästebett, genutzt werden kann. Dazu ein weiteres Bad mit Dusche und Toilette. Es muss kein Geschirrspüler sein, die Waschmaschine ist bei dem heißen Wetter für uns viel wichtiger. Alles zeitlos, aber sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Außenanlage mit Grill, Pool, Garten und Terrasse sehr gepflegt und in ständiger Betreuung und Weiterentwicklung. Von mehreren Plätzen des Objektes hat man wunderbare Ausblicke ins Tal und zu den nächsten Hügeln. Auch das Meer ist bei guter Sicht zu sehen. Abendsonne bei einem Glas Wein ist zu empfehlen. Die Mühle liegt mitten im Ort, der aber insgesamt etwas abgelegen ist. Einkauf, Apotheke, Restaurants mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten erreichbar. Zwei Wermutstropfen: Leider kein ausreichender Stauraum für liegende Bekleidung, aber ausreichend Möglichkeiten Bekleidung auf Bügel zu hängen. Die Treppe in den Mühlenturm ist recht schmal und die Stufen sehr hoch. Trotz Geländer wird es für kleine Kinder oder Personen mit Gehschwierigkeiten sehr anspruchsvoll. Insgesamt sehr...
