Overpriced at €54 per night The pool is too small, shallow and is not supervised so not as safe as most pools we go to at campsites of this size/cost.
The tennis courts are very shabby and poorly maintained with huge holes in the fencing which can be frustrating after the 10 time retrieving a ball.
The camp has very little security, pointless cards handed out at reception which are never checked, so why?
Camp is generally unkempt, bins are regularly overfilled, because they're either not big enough or not emptied regularly enough. I think this might be why the camp seems to have a bit of a fly problem. We were constantly harassed by flies during our stay in August.
2 out of the 7 bathroom blocks are closed, although the number of blocks seems high for the number of campers. the ones that were open were reasonably clean and worked well with unlimited hot water, they're just very shabby and a little run down like everything else. Bathroom cleaning is carried out when usage is high, quite often they would be cleaned between 8 and 10am at the whim of the cleaners.
The dedicated motorhome area is the least shaded area in the camp and regularly you get overpowering smells from the service/water draining area.
The best areas in the camp are towards the front (near reception) and the rear of the camp and if you need WiFi make sure you get a plot near reception, because coverage across the rest of the site is non existent, which goes a long way to explain why it's free.
Children's activities seemed very limited compared to other camps we have stayed in in Spain and France.
Whilst we were staying the camp weather would be cool in the morning until 12pm then the sun would break through and it would change to extremely hot until around 6pm, when it turns very cool often needing a jumper, it should be taken into consideration when booking.
The camp is surrounded by local pine forests which seem to be inaccessible from the perimeter gates unfortunately. When walking our dog in the forested picnic area to the south of the campsite it is obvious that this area is used for wild camping and only a short walk into the woods will shock you with a disgusting litter of used toilet paper.
I would not recommend this camp to motorhomes, particularly if you are placed in the 'dedicated' motorhome area, it is particularly poor value.
The staff seem friendly no matter how overworked they are, however the reception staff really seem to struggle with allocating plots at busy times.
overall the campsite seems to be ready to be closed down, lots of the buildings that used to be in use are no longer so, I would say this campsite needs a significant amount of investment in order to bring it up to the level that most Europeans expect from this size and star campsite. If you can get a booking here for 30% off then it's probably worth it, however if you can only get full price then I would look elsewhere. This should probably only be an emergency...
Read moreBasic but everything you need on site. Accommodation is fine, covered terrace was the best part of the accommodation- so useful. We ate all our meals out there, as well as played with my daughter and just generally relaxed. The swimming pool was well suited- the toddler pool was a perfect depth, easy for kids to access. The big pool had a shallow end that was very shallow so most kids could stand in it. Pools were refreshing to go in- we stayed in August so it was good that it wasn’t heated! My daughter was happy to stay in for hours. There were plenty of sun loungers for most of the day, but it did get busy towards the end of the afternoon. Onsite cafe/bar was minimal but did what we needed- although lacked vegetarian options. Was right next to the playground which was a big hit with my daughter. The staff were all amazing, particularly Joanna and Jessica who ran the kids activities. They did arts and crafts every morning with the kids which was my 4 year old daughter’s favourite part of each day. They are so friendly and amazing with the kids. They did a range of activities that cater to all different ages, and also had inflatable bouncy castles and games for the kids. There was a disco in the evening for kids and pool games every afternoon. Would recommend taking...
