This was one of the best places I’ve stayed in my solo travels. Very cozy, comfy, quiet, and convenient. The room was super clean and had AC which came in handy during late August. I had a picture perfect view of Pico Mountain from my patio, which made for a nice backdrop for my nightly routine of Frei Gigante wine and Sao Jorge cheese, both of which were conveniently bought onsite. ||There is a shared kitchen, where I made coffee and breakfast every morning. Homemade pancake batter was prepared on a couple of days and homemade bread is made every day. And nothing beats fresh eggs gathered from the farm’s chickens every day. Make sure to add some homemade banana jam to that bread!||I enjoyed stopping by the small farm animal area on my way to the black sand beach and coves every afternoon. It’s more large rocks than actual beach now due to erosion but still a great, quiet spot. One afternoon I even had the whole area to myself. ||The farm is in an ideal location for exploring Sao Jorge. Lenia and Miguel and Pipoka (their cute dog) were friendly and fantastic hosts. I highly recommend...

This “Make It Happen Farm” guesthouse on Sao Jorge is gorgeous! It seems five stars for a veritable bargain a night! It is an absolutely stunning property!

Owner is so kind, helpful and gracious! You are shown the garden and invited to eat the vegetables, make tea with the herbs, and enjoy the daily freshly baked bread with homemade jam selection!

There are automatic roller shades that work off the key remote to access your sliding doors, that let in the cool breeze.

A short walk takes you to a gorgeous black sand small beach. Bikes are in the shed for use.

Some guests were on their honeymoon and I see why. It is a place in which I’d like to relax for a week.

The guest kitchen is amazing! Using the fancy equipment was challenging but help is always nearby.

The honor bar has great Azorean wine, some chilled already in the wine cooler.

The free vegetables in the freezer and in the counter basket are from their garden. Delightful!

Everybody is friendly and fellow guests share info easily and...

This place is too good to be true! The owner Miguel gave us the ultimate Azores experience.||Miguel came to meet us at the boat terminal.||He showed us our beautiful room with a view and showed us around the premises.||A wonderful garden with vegetables and herbs which you can pick and use as you like...no costs here!||The living room and kitchen with all ammenities.||Every day eggs and fresh bread, again for free.||He stocks wonderful wines, and many ingredients you may need for dinner or washing and for a better price than at the supermarket.||We never went out for dinner, the place was just too lovely, comfortable and special. Just imagine, pick your salad, herbs, etc and with a view on Pico mountain!||Oh, almost forgot to mention the bicycles, good ones, it is hilly though, not for the faint at heart!||Sao Jorge is beautiful!and unspoiled by tourisn.||We will be back and for a longer stay,...

This place is beyond gorgeous, with its animals and gardens, we could not have been happier anywhere else. Everyone is so lovely and we were able to cook ourselves over the fire in the outdoor kitchen, which is such a wonderful experience after having eaten out for some time during our travels in Azores. Additionally, perhaps the coolest beach during our stay in the Azores was a 5min walk from the farm. While snorkeling in the black sand waters, we came across a friendly and curious tang fish. That really topped off the last day. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime!

One of the best places we have stayed anywhere in the world. Even if you forget about the common areas, each room is so thoughtfully equipped, it would be enough for a great stay. But then the shared living/kitchen area is awesome. A good place for music, a movie, cooking, eating. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped and great to cook in. The only caution - an after dark walk back from a dinner in Urzelina can be spooky with the calls of hundreds of birds (Cory's Shearwaters). At least during their mating season. Bring a flashlight. We hope to return!
