Hotel Rural Quinta de S Sebastiao — Hotel in Viana do Castelo

We loved this hotel because of its proximity to the rail station for journeys to Viana and Afiffe beach. The pool was true luxury, our room was a generous size with large bathroom and the staff were delightful. Breakfast was good. I think it would have been faultless if we had have been in a self catering lodging as we really missed being able to make hot drinks etc. The local area is very limited for bars, shops etc and it was impossible to get a bottle of water without walking into the next town. There was also a live music festival every night we were there. It finished at midnight but both the traditional folk music and the pop music were very very loud. This is a delightful place, set in it's own grounds with fruit trees and vines and on the edge of the small village of Barroselos. Although the bedroom was small it was pleasant and the rest of the property made up for it. There was plenty of outside space, a beautiful swimming pool area, tennis courts, a music room, a library, pool table and bicycles for visitors use.||There is a station in the village and a regular train service to Viano do Castelo which we made use of. There was a festival on while we were there and the streets around Viano were closed so we decided to use the train.||There are few restaurants within walking distance but those that exist are very reasonable. Been visiting this place over the years, but it keeps being the same, and this time i did not moved forward with the bad experience and left at the end of day one of a 6 day reservation.||Weak breakfast, no eggs, no croissants, no hot toasts; No wifi in the room, only near the door; Small CRT(!!)
