Neiva Guest House — Hotel in Viana do Castelo

We arrived there and the responsible gave us a key to a room with a shared bathroom and we had booked one with private one. The room was so bad with old furniture and bad smell (like closed or something). However, we went and told him that could not be our room several times. Finally, after arguing with us he found out that our reservation which we had shown him and apparently did not really check... He said he had made a mistake thinking we were a different couple that was coming that day as well. He did not even apologize for this. The bathroom in our room had a hole just in top of the shower cealing. Really...

If you want luxury and style, do not stay here. If you want hospitality, low price (cash) ,a kind welcome, and a nice drink (porto!!) than you may consider to linger for a few days. Antonio is a friendly host who can talk in broken German or fast Portugese. From the hotel you can visit the surrounding of Viana and Antonio will give usefull advise about sight seeing tours. The rooms on the other hand or simple (but neat) and always ask for the room with bathroom included.||Good tip for young people...
