Portugal Active Atlantic Lodge — Hotel in Viana do Castelo

We had a marvelous summer stay in this beautifully designed house, with a sea view and nature all around. Long beach walks and swimming with easy access to the hills for local hiking too, including a waterfall within easy driving distance. Yoga in the garden with only the sound of birds in the olive trees.

The villa is spacious, airy and bright tastefully combining rustic and modern. We were a party of eight and felt very comfortable. Between upstairs and downstairs there is room for solitude and quiet alongside the inviting social spaces. The hosts are professional, friendly and attentive. Huset begynner definitivt å bli slitent. Fuktskader på veggene i første etg, lukter mugg. Det er 12 sengeplasser, men bare stoler til 8 (både ute og Inne), air conditioning virker ikke i flere rom, alt for lite plass i kjøleskap, Portåpner virker ikke. Feller mot skadedyr plassert både ute og inne. Dører i stua er defekte. Verten virker ikke imøtekommende eller innstilt på å rette opp i ting eller ordne a/C. Svarer ikke på henvendelser. Anbefaler ikke å betale 100 % forskudd.

The house is definitely starting to show wear and tear. Moisture damage on the walls on the ground floor, smells of mold. There are 12 beds, but only chairs for 8 (both outside and inside). The air conditioning doesn’t work in several rooms, the fridge is far too small, and the gate opener doesn’t work. Pest traps are placed both outside and inside. The living room doors are defective. The host does not seem accommodating or willing to fix things or repair the A/C. Does not respond to inquiries. I do not recommend paying...

Incredible renovated house with wonderful view of sea and large entertainment area overlooking pool. The house accommodates 12 people in comfort. Walking distance to Afife beach, near to a number of other great beaches by car and a short drive to the town of Viana do Castello. Highly recommend - we hope to...
