Quinta do Centro — Hotel in Vila de Rei

We stayed at Quinta do Centro for 10 nights in February 2022. We found the place to be lovely and clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Inside we found it nice and spacious with a lovely big and more Importantly comfortable bed, the cosy living room had a lovely log burner which we used on the colder nights... a lovely added extra. The warmer evenings we sat out on the terrace and enjoyed a few drinks watching the sun go down and in a morning we sat and enjoyed breakfast on the rear terrace enjoying the sun coming up!... Perfect.

Located just a few minutes from the lovely village of Fundada where we had lunch several times, there's a shop, cash machine, bar, bus stop and taxi rank and Less than 10 minutes away is the town of Vila de Rei which again is lovely, having much more to offer including the Chicken shop... An absolute must!.

Our hosts Lou & Phil were great and very helpful and hospitable throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Quinta do Centro and will be returning soon.

What a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The Quintinha is beautifully furnished, decorated and equipped with absolutely everything you need for a self-catering stay - and for me, most importantly, comfy beds! The outdoor spaces are great for breakfast or sundowners with stunning views. The hosts, Lou & Phil are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. It's warm and cosy in winter, with your own fireplace ; and I can't wait to get back in summer and just laze around in the pool, obligatory G&T in hand, soaking up the sun and the beautiful...

Had a great 10 nights staying at Quinta do Centro, Lou and Phil couldn't have been more accomodating as hosts, and their dogs made it all the more fun. We got some great local knowledge from them and their friends who passed through. We had some enjoyable evening BBQs with them and evening plunge pool G'n't's. The accomodation was spot on, super clean with all the cooker/fridge/freezer stuff you need, Aircon worked a dream and the bathroom/shower was great. It was a great home vibe and we're looking forward to staying...
