We booked this place as it has such nice reviews and meant that we could be in our van and our friends in a glamping tent and so camp together.
However our experience was very different to what others appeared to have had.
We did not receive the friendly service that has been talked about in the reviews. We were not even able to check in as each time we tried Brenda was too busy with something else to attend to us. So we ended up having to check in after we had left via email.
We did not get the campsite we booked near our friend's. Instead we were on a tiny plot with several other people. Which was inconvenient and disappointing given the whole reason we booked this site was to be together.
Our friend's had upgraded their tent to have more space, but their tent was by no means an upgrade. It was in the blaring sun from midday until sunset it was only for sleeping in and given my friend had recently had a back operation she needed to be able to rest in the day. When they asked to swap to another tent Brenda said it was impossible and that all tents have their sunny times. Yet, the other tents were almost always in the shade, and the one below them was available for the entire time we were there. So why they were not able to change I do not know
We went to use the water tap by our plot and were told not to by the other campers and that it was theirs. Again without a proper check in process it was not at all clear to us what we could and couldn't use and so we were unable to fill up put water tank.
Lastly, we has told our children about the jacuzzi and they were super excited to go in it. We arrived to find it was for adults only which perhaps would have been good to know beforehand.
I emailed Brenda and Tony all the above feedback, but have heard...

Read moreStayed for 5 days with a friend in the bungalow. What a beautiful place! The property in situated in a beautiful, relaxing village in the mountains near the border of Portugal/Spain. The bungalow had all updated amenities you would desire after long days of exploring. In fact, the entire property had updated amenities including a new swimming pool/hot tub, updated cabins, game room, glamping yurts/tents, updated shower/WC's, fire pit, and room for RV/tent camp sites. Tony and Brenda are gracious hosts with great knowledge of the area. We learned about local cuisine, wine/beer/spirits, and Portuguese culture. We even traveled into north western Spain which is very near the property....
