I don’t know why this hotel is so well rated especially at a price that is not a bargain for Portugal. I feel like this building got confused on whether it wanted to be high end or low end. Some parts are really nice (the bathroom had a bidet) and others are like a cheap motel (the shower is tiny and the shower floor extremely slippery). Highway noise is audible even with windows closed—see map photo. The hotel restaurant’s dinner felt mediocre; even the hot food was cold 🤢 and the fish was horribly over-cooked. The bathroom sink reminds me of an airplane ✈️ or restaurant sink where the faucet is so close to the edge one can barely wash their hands—see photo of sink. The mattress is the worst I’ve had after several weeks in Portugal: it crinkles and I can feel the springs. The gym is tiny; four cardio machines and no weights nor pulleys—even the hotel staff doesn’t think it is much of a gym. On the positive side ➕➕➕ ➕ hotel and dining staff are very nice, helpful, and friendly 😊 and the...

Rooms are on the smaller side, but very nice.

We were part of an inatel tour group, and despite heavy rains our tour guide Laura kept everyone's spirits high, and we had a lot of fun. She even participated on group activities with us in the evening. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

Our bus driver was amazing as well. Again, despite the heavy rains I always felt safe with his driving. His ability to maneuver such a large vehicle through difficult and tight streets was astounding.

The hotel itself was clean and inviting, the buffet food was excellent, and there was a nice mix between variety each night and returning favourites.

I didn't get to try any of the outdoor amenities due to the rain, but the hotel does have a small indoor play area for children, a small auditorium, gym, and games...

We don't normally go for large modern hotels, but for the price the accommodation has fantastic facilities in a great location. The rooms are very quiet & comfortable with very efficient a/c. Top marks to the cleaners throughout the hotel, it sparkles! Meals are buffet style, and for the price , are excellent ( dinner 10 E). We felt the standard of food had improved since last year. The grounds are exceptionally well kept, large, very clean pool, tennis courts, childrens' play area. You can easily walk into town, along the river bank ( some good restaurants there & one of the best Sat markets in Portugal. There are many other interesting towns to visit in the area, and as Spain is just over the river, you can also...

Very nice 4-star hotel with a friendly staff and good views of the river! The services and amenities are very good. Meals throughout the day are pretty good and served in a decently large variety. The WiFi intermittently cuts off and is slow sometimes.. Some activity spots inside the hotel campus include swimming pools and tennis courts. Free parking area for cars and buses... All in all, was a great stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing time-out in this part of the country !
