LA CETATE — Hotel in Ștefănești

We had our wedding party here in the pub and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very efficient and helpful and the food was very good, my English parents in law were quite impressed with the Romanian feast :)||||The location is a bit out of town, a couple of kilometres in a rural area.||The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. The only negative for us was the shower that leaked everywhere so the floor was wet and slippery. ||||The owners were friendly and tried to accommodate our every need but unfortunately some of the information that we gave wasn't passed on to the staff, so they thought there was a christening and not a wedding and they weren't prepared for our vegetarian guests. It worked...

We booked a triple room and the room shown to us had 3 single beds, was clean, but a bit small (we had a lot of luggage and had to pack it before going to the airport). So, we asked for a spacier option and received an excellent, clean and big room with air-conditioning. The staff is excellent and very attentive. The restaurant was booked for a private event, so we received no dinner but were allowed to eat our own food in the patio. Breakfast was good. The hotel has a big private parking slot. The hotel looks great in and out. The rooms are very big and have an ancient look. The walls of the rooms and corridors are very nicely painted. The place itself is very spacious. The down side was that their blow dryier was not working. I didn't have shower gel to wash and when I asked for it I was told that the person that deals with that has gone and took the keys with her so I couldn't get any. Also there is lack of staff. The person at reception works at the bar also so If you want anything from reception you have to wait for a long time. It's a shame as the hotel...
