Traveling to support the people in need in Ukraine and after returning from Ukraine with people looking for sheltering in Europe, we stay in two separate occasions at Hotel Ellero, Bacau. ||||The first time we arrived on Saturday morning around 02:00 a.m and stayed till 06:30 a.m (4.5 hours for a short break). The hotel receptionist attending us was very kind and supportive. The rooms were nice, warm and clean.||||The second time we arrived on Sunday at 07:30 a.m and stayed till 11:45 a.m. At the check out the hotel manager offered to pay for the room of the Ukrainian family traveling with me (two mothers and two children 3 and 16) and offered us a free food and discounted my room rate as well. ||||Thank you very much for accepting us un such unusual arriving time and for being good people with big hearths.|| ...
Read moreThe pension Ellero is on the outskirts of Bacau on a busy road near the airport. A restaurant is part of the complex. However, they had some kind of a party and were too busy to serve us. (We walked to a nearby gas station to buy sandwiches and wraps.) The room was very clean, a good size but very dark, the bathroom a little small but nicely tiled. Leaving the balcony door open was no option as the traffic on the road was noisy. With the door closed we didn’t hear the traffic at all and the AC worked well and was very quiet. They had a breakfast menu with 4 choices. It was enough food to get us going for a while. A Lidl supermarket is only 2 minutes away by car. Read moreWe traveled with our two children to see family in Romania. We were picking up someone from the airport in Bacau and needed to stay the night because his flight came in so late. We picked Pensiunea Ellero and I'm so glad we did. We stayed in an apartment and the rooms were a nice size and decorated so well.
