Seneca Hotel — Hotel in Baia Mare

I lived in this hotel in June 2018 for 4 nights, with my wife and 22 other faculty colleagues (with their families) ... Influenced by the joy of reviewing my colleagues and by the daily reach tourist visits program in Maramures County, I was less concerned about the hotel location - at the outskirts of Baia Mare, in an industrial area and close to an ITP (Vehicle Periodic Inspection) station for cars, with few green spaces and obvious noise and atmospheric emissions pollution ...||Therefore I was pleasantly surprised by the diversity and quality of the services offered, for example:||- SPA in the vicinity of the hotel (with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, toboggans, jacuzzi, fitness, aerosol salon etc. - all well-maintained) - with free access for hotel guests, numerous signs and rules displayed everywhere||- the public library in the lounge - lending to interested customers, free of charge, dozens of books (in good condition) to be read during the stay||- staff at the hotel reception desk - always available, smiling and efficient||The room was well-equipped and soundproofed, the dishes and drinks served at lunch and dinner fully satisfied customer's expectations .... Unfortunately, at breakfast, the coffee maker was frequently defective, and the culinary offer of the Swedish buffet was unsufficient both qualitatively and...

We stayed here for 1 week, end of may into june. we arrived at the hotel and were greeted by friendly staff, that spoke good english which was a relief to us. we had a room on the 1st floor, which while being fairly basic was what we needed and was clean. we had breakfast each morning which was included, and had a couple of evening meals here as well which we paid for. the food was good and the staff again friendly and helpful. the prices for food and drink was very cheap. With our price we also got free use of the spa facility for 1 hour each day, plus you could pay for longer, we found the spa very relaxing, especially the hydrotherapy pool. again we had a couple of pizzas here which were very good and cheap. i have read other reviews of this hotel and i was unsure about staying here, but i can honestly say i would stay here again no problem. all the staff we found were friendly and helpful. there was some work going on at the hotel while we were there, 1 of our group who were closer to the work asked to be moved, which the hotel did, the hotel then asked us if we would like to move as well, even though it wasn't as bad for us.||please note, this is a 3* hotel. for the price this a very good hotel. if you want 5* you must go to a 5* and pay more. thank you for...

The bathroom was extremely small. It had only the toilet and a walk-in shower. It had no door, only a sliding pvc door. The sink was in the room, there was no room for it in the bathroom. The towels and the bed sheets had holes in them. We were surprised to see that other rooms were bigger and had more light and a normal door at the bathroom. We communicated that we were unpleasent with our stay to the receptionist and we got 15% of our money back, so it was nice for them to do that. The pool looked okay, it was a bit too dark. Maybe it could have been cleaner too. The saunas were nice tho. In conclusion, we will definitely not stay at this hotel again. If you'll stay in the future, do not accept...
