Podina Guest House — Hotel in Beliș

We booked this location for 3 nights (unfortunately only 3), we had an apartment for ourselves, 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom/shower and a kitchen with satelite TV.||The place is out of the way, there are only country side roads and basically no cars passing by. The air is clean and everything is quiet, just right for my desire to enjoy the silence.||The wifi internet is actually a hotspot provided by the host from mobile phone, there's no cable TV, or internet, only the 3G internet from Digi cell towers, with a weak signal. This is not a problem for people that want to spend some time away from phone calls, emails and other "benefits" of civilization. There are no other means of communication, Vodafone, Orange or Telekom don't have any signal over there, only Digi (unbelievable though).||There are marked tourist routes that can be followed into the wilderness and most of the time there's no one on the paths, only a cow, or a horse once in a while.||We found blackberries, blueberries, cranberries and wild strawberries on or near the path.||While the country was affected by a heatwave, in this location there was a bit of summer rain daily, cooling down everything and the forest helps maintaining a cooler environment. Watching the rain fall was something we don't have time for anymore.||It was a pleasure to enjoy the coffee in the early morning air, while everything was wet from drew and for me a very beautiful way to start the day.||There is a catch though, there's no restaurant nearby, the nearest one being 20 Km away, so bringing supplies and cooking is needed, although if going by car to see other places there's always somewhere to eat.||But first and foremost I wanted a place away from people and...

Nu recomand, am fost cazata 2 zile si cand am ajuns acolo proprietarul nu ne-a lasat sa parcam inauntru, drept urmare masina mea a fost lovita de calul vecinului iar acum eu am ramas cu paguba! Nu mi se pare normal ceea ce s-a intamplat, masina mea e distrusa si voi face demersurile mai departe ! Rog travelminit...

An oasis of calm away from the chaos of everyday life. The perfect place to recharge your batteries. The best hosts one could ask for. All in all, quite possibly the closest thing to heaven on earth. I'll definitely come back...
