La Pescador DD — Hotel in Berzasca

I would like to praise, but it was a disappointment for us. Not bad, but we had higher expectations. The first person who checked us in didn't speak any English. I don't blame anyone, but a word like breakfast would be good to learn. Later a younger waiter showed up and he spoke English and was much more helpful. The room had no problems and was clean and nice. The food was a bit funny. My wife and I each ordered a different meal based on the picture, but we got the same thing. I can't rate here though because the menu was in Romanian and I believe it was our fault and I didn't want to pursue it further because the food was good. An unfortunately unpleasant experience in the morning. We were told that breakfast was at 8am. Unfortunately it was locked and the waiter arrived at 8:30am. The waiter did not think to offer us coffee or tea and we had to be reminded. It's nothing dramatic but it didn't help the overall feel of the accommodation. I can understand when it's busy, but this was not the case as the waiter had plenty of time to look at his cell phone. I'm sorry but really the weakest accommodation in Romania for us. Maybe just a bad day, but I won't find...

Great location, on the border of Danube. The food was very good, especially the fish soup and the mixed fish plate (three varieties of fish and a lot of potatoes). We went to this place to have lunch. The restaurant it's traditional fish based food. Everything it's fresh fished from the Danube by the owner himself.

It's also available accomodations but it's open specialy during summer.

I recommend this place specialy for the fresh fish cooked in traditional way.
