Hotel Roser House Colibita — Hotel in Bistrița Bârgăului

We only stopped here for one night on our way towards Bucovina but I can tell you straight forward - it is a very good hotel. Why ? well here are my findings: ||- location - in the Colibita, with access to the lake - not a vey big hotel - parking on the premises is available , free of charge , either in the courtyard of the hotel either across the road. ||They got a restaurant, so you don't have to wonder around in search for a place to grab a bite.(I'll tell you more in the review for the restaurant). ||Pool, jacuzzi ,spa, fitness center, cinema, games room, access to the lake , covered sport court all available for the guests. Pity it was a thunder storm upon our arrival - and lasted well into the night - so the pool and the outside jacuzzi was not an option. ||Breakfast, very good with a a lot of options and the set up on the terrace with a view towards the pool and the lake below is just great. ||- staff - was very friendly and helpful - we have payed in advance - so checking in and checking out went very smooth - with only the minibar charges left to settle on the premises. Now be prepared with cash - because the POS might not work due to weak signal and internet connection. (Just to mention, face masks seemed to be optional for the staff, signs were everywhere but in reference to the guests - some might find this bothering when travelling during pandemics). ||- room - what we got was on the 2nd floor - with a lake view and a small balcony, the room itself was not that big but more than enough for our needs, clean (on the balcony there nests of swallows -very nice but there where also droppings from those - inevitable I guess) ||Minibar loaded and the prices acceptable. ||Bathroom very clean - kind of small with a shower booth but perfectly good - nothing to complain. ||A/C in the room , was definitely needed during the hot summer days.||The walls are kind of thin - so if there is a family with kinds in the next room you can hear them. ||Prices - those are not cheap , but I consider acceptable for what you get. You can pay with credit card. ||Overall a very good hotel I think nobody will be...

You can see from the moment you arrive, they didn’t go cheap when they made the initial investment . The large room on the 2nd floor overlooking the lake, with large windows you can admire the beautiful landscape from. Quality furniture, big bed, nicely furnished bathroom. Good water pressure and you don't have to wait long for the water to heat up.|At the spa, the schedule is disappointing. There is a sauna, jacuzzi, pool table and table tennis. There is also a gym, but they all close at 9pm. I understand the sauna being closed but without those game tables and game room…., you really have nothing to do but go to the room.|The sauna does not rise above 65 degrees C and the thermometer is located like every other sauna, in the warmest spot. Realistically speaking, we had 60 degrees max. So if you want to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of a 75-80 degree sauna, this is not the right location. This is for people who take a shower, enter the sauna for 5 minutes, get out as wet as they went in and pretend they sweated half their body weight. And not to forget; if you wannna do sauna-cold shower cycles, you must notify the reception because the sauna turns off automatically in 30 minutes.|Outside you have an infinity pool with warm water and a gorgeous landscape.|Minuses for accommodation would be: kettle, Espressor and fridge plugged in a wall socket with 2 spots only . And to change between them because you have to move a rather heavy desk; footprints on the walls from some animals that once stayed there, I don't know if they can be cleaned or not; broken light fixture by the bed, you can cut yourself in it....

This is by far the best accommodation you can get in Colibița. I know this because I stayed in Colibița several times before but in other places. Roser Hotel was a great surprise. We spent four days here in late January and we left rejuvenated and fresh. We had a four stars room, situated in the main building. The room was big, very clean and comfortable. The view from the room was astonishing, facing the Colibița Lake. The minibar was full and the bathroom was quite charming and clean. The heating in the room is through the floor and may take a while to get hot but we had no problem. The hotel has a spa with two jacuzzis, one inside and one outside, a small and hot sauna and showers. Each room has complementary robes and slippers. Near the spa, there is a game room where you can find a pool table, a Foosball table, air hockey, an X-Box with several games and the best thing is that they offer free acces to them. Near the game room you can find the cinema. Yes, the cinema. Every client can use the cinema as they like. Free. |We had a great experience staying here. The staff was very nice and helpful. They helped with advice and recommendations. The services where over the top. We had our towels replaced each day by default. |In the summer time they have a big pool outside and sunbeds facing the lake. |The restaurant is a great place and the breakfast was quite various and rich.
