Pensiunea Morariu — Hotel in Bistrița

We booked 3 rooms at the location, being in transit and wanting to have just a good sleep during the night. We tried to call the number listed on booking several times in order to confirm our stay and to announce that we will arrive a little bit late in the evening. No answer! After a while, the lady from the front desk called saying that they are waiting for us and at the location there is a party which should finish at 23:00. Being worried we asked for confirmation that when we will be there we will be able to sleep, her answer: "There is a little bit of noise, but I guess it will be ok". Being there at 23:30, the party was not over and not even close to finish. The music was so loud that you could not even stay in the rooms, people were screaming and singing very loud. We asked for an explanation, that it is not possible to sleep in this situation. The lady said that: "yesterday we had a wedding here, and also other guests left because of the noise". We checked the rooms and they were not at all as in the pictures on booking, also they were really smelly. We decided to search at 00:00 in the night for another place to sleep. Awful...

No AC unit in the room is a deal breaker, honestly. I give lot of positive reviews easily, but this got on my nerve. Besides being 26°C and a big room, with all the windows open, it was getting hotter and hotter. The rooms, on the other hand, are spacious with up to 4 beds in one room. The bathrooms are nice and clean, and the shower runs nice warm water. However the floors, doors, and beds squeak, at least in some rooms. Overall got a good night's sleep. If there was an AC unit installed, this would be a decent place to stay at on your visit. I think if you're visiting in winter time you'll be fine, but we came...

Very Unpleasant experience. We stayed a night in room 5 and in the middle of the night we heard a weird noise, as we turned on the lights we saw a mouse crossing the room, obviously we called the owners because the reception was closed and we got our money back and left the guest house right after. Besides that, stained bed sheets and hair on the pillows, awful odour in the bathroom and problems with the pipes, dirty floor, unrenovated, old furniture, definitely wouldn’t recommend...
