Brandeberg — Hotel in Bran

Went to Bran in August 2023, for a short birthday get away.||One of the highlights was definitely the owner's involvement. Their friendly nature made us feel like old friends, and their genuine care for guests was palpable, making our stay feel like we were part of a close-knit family.||The backdrop of the mountains added a touch of magic to every meal, making it feel like dining in a painting. For families, there's everything you could ask for—adventurous walking trails, a playground to keep the kids entertained, and the convenience of the restaurant staying open late enough to ensure everyone could unwind comfortably.||Breakfast was amazing. A touch of champagne in the morning made this vacation even more sparkling 😀||And let's not forget the proximity to Bran Castle and Bran Plaza; the convenience made exploring these iconic spots a breeze. I visited the area with my family this summer. I must say, this pension is probably the best around! Nice staff, good food, and clean rooms! The view from the balcony is extraordinary, too! This pension is around 2.2 miles away from Castelul Bran, so it's very close by, 7-9 minute drive! Brandeberg is also located in the quiet village of Șimon, which ensures peace and quiet during the night! This area is also nearly free of light pollution! I went out onto the balcony on the two nights we spent there and looked up, and I could actually VERY faintly see our galaxy, the Milky Way! It was beautiful. Breakfast was amazing, although I wish they could've had more dishes to choose from. All the food is natural and extremely delicious! You can actually TASTE the difference between their food and the food from a supermarket/grocery store. The structure itself is well built and eye appealing. I like the German theme of the building very much! Overall, bravo to the Brandeberg Pension! I'll be sure to visit the area again and rest...

Pros:| - friendly staff that pays attention to all the little things (reception staff was not there at our arrival but bar staff helped and the paperwork was prepared for us already, restaurant staff bringing small spoon and fork for our daughter without us asking, cleaning lady always talking to kids and helped a lot when my daughter threw up, reception staff open when we wanted to change rooms but decided against it in the end)|- great location, away from the busy roads, peaceful, great views|- nice big room with balcony (301)|- restaurant food great and interesting choices (had about 4 meals there and still had nice choices left) plus fast serving |- plenty of chairs for kids (|- good breakfast|- kids playground|Cons: can’t say there are any but if I have to pic something|- food prices are pretty high but big portions and very tasty|- maybe add some trees for natural shade|- not sure who owns the land in front of the property but adding a pool there could make this a great resort.
