Hillden Boutique Cazare &Restaurant — Hotel in Bran

I have just returned after spending three nights at this hotel.||||I found everything about this hotel to be as i expected it:||- Staff was very friendly and always more than willing to help. ||- Room was clean and large. We didn't need AC or heating so i can't say about how that works. The bathroom was not very large but it was just enough for what a bathroom is to be used for.||- Food was good. Breakfast was good and even though it is not buffet you still have options. We also had lunch and dinner there and that was good too. They have a special menu for kids, where we could find a lot of options for our sons which are pretty picky when it comes to eating. You can have you meal inside the restaurant or outside at one of their two terraces. It never felt crowded.||- There is a big playground with a lot of toys. Maybe not as many as in the picture but still plenty to keep the kids busy if you decide to stay at the hotel. What I liked, as a parent, were the tables next to the playground where you could have the meals while keeping an eye on the little ones.||- Location was perfect. Very close to Bran, but away from the big crowd. We visited Rasnov and Poiana Brasov during our stay there and I can say that it felt like they were just around the corner.||||As a conclusion i think that this is a great place to spend your vacation with or without children: quiet, clean, good food at decent prices. We stayed for 4 nights in Aug'17, travelling as a family with a small child. The location overall was great, the playground was excellent for entertaining the children, and the main reason we chose this location. The room was not so great, smelt strange, it was near the exhaust hood of the kitchen, and there was noise all day long, a little too dark, small bathroom but fully equipped, the drain didn't function properly, the shower tray would be filled with water, the towel hangers 2 m high, hardly accessible. The bed was comfortable, we had a TV and a mini-fridge to store some light snacks, although i heard comments from the staff that it should be used as a mini-bar only. The breakfast was ok, you could chose from 5 menus, though i would have preferred buffet. The cheese was terribly salty, inedible. The outdoor seating of the restaurant was great, but there were too many bees. The balcony was also nice. Outside food or beverages are not allowed in the public space.
