Pensiunea Terra Nova — Hotel in Brezoi

We stayed here for one night during May 2018 and had a wonderful stay.|The accomodation is set amongst the mountains with a river flowing next to the property and provided and tranquil and homely environment.|We were greeted with a beaming smile and were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived.|Our room was immaculately clean and well furnished with a comfortable bed, balcony with sofas and a modern bathroom.|We had a delicious home cooked meal, made fresh from the kitchen. The grilled trout with polenta was fantastic and we were served by the owners who couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. There was a wide selection of drinks available and lots of good wine.|It was lovely, sitting out on the terrace, eating and drinking - surrounded by the owners small family, with the dog and Romanian television on in the background.|Apart from the road through the valley all that could be heard was the river flowing, cow bells in the distance and wind blowing through the forest. We had a great nights sleep and it was silent through the night apart from the peaceful sound of the river.|We agreed a breakfast time for the morning and right on schedule the owners were waiting for us downstairs with a big smile and breakfast laid out. There was delicious cheeses, olives, bread, meats and jam and we were made fresh omelettes.|The whole stay was very affordable and I could have happily stayed there for days.|I do truly mean to return to Pension Terra Nova in the future and it made our trip special to be made to feel so welcome.|The staff were great and also helped plan our onward road travel on to the Transfagarasan. Pensiunea Terra Nova is a beautiful cabin custom built at the foot of Cozia National Park. We visited with my parents in early September and enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the creek and watching the sunrise over the mountain covered with trees in yellows, orange and red fall foliage. What a fairytale landscape. ||The beds are comfortable, the pillows were welcome after a long day of hiking, but overall the service is the better than anywhere else I’ve stayed in Romania. ||The owners, Dan and Mihaela, had breakfast ready at 9 am every morning with delicious coffees. A plate of meats and cheeses with two farm fresh eggs and fresh bread was always more than we could eat. We had the option for lunch but we were always out during the day. For dinner, it was some of the best romanian cuisine. Mountain trout, ciorba, supă de găluște, carne de la garniță, mămăligă, mashed potatoes, and salată varză, just to name a few. It was something fresh every night different every night and it was served outside on the patio underneath the trees.||Dan and Mihaela do their best to make everyone feel like family. Their daughter is involved too! We saw her serving dinner, helping check customers in and a hundred other things. They all made sure that we always had everything that we needed and spent time with us at meals each day. They had great recommendations for the surrounding area and were quick to provide a blanket for the evening chill or an extra cup of coffee in the morning. ||They also speak fluent German! I sit on the balcony thinking about nothing and starting to receive the Universe power.||It is 12:30AM, river is flowing meters away of my stool, and the moon is petting the hills beyond. Other than the river and the wind that plays with the leaves in the forest around, no other sound. For a moment I feel alone in this wilderness. Minutes ago i had with my friends from France a great dinner cooked just for us, home made drinks and a very very warm welcome.||I thought this was perfect, but in the morning a breakfast prepared for us on the terrace, a bigger surprise. Eggs from local villages, home made jams from the berries picked from the surrounded hills, and watching the wild horses and cows going for their healthy meal. now and then a trout fish is jumping on the stream in the garden of the hotel||Staff makes you feel you are part of their family.||Price?
