Make no mistake, this 4 star hotel is just a place to make a wedding if you're not from bucharest and if you've never been to a real 4* hotel. The cleanliness of the room isn't great, when i entered the bathroom there was a pretty old toothbrush left in the holder, i can only hope the rest of the bathroom was cleaned properly. Next to the night table there was a pretty thick layer of dust, one didn't even have to focus to observe it. Regarding the atmosphere of the room: i could rest, despite the hotel having parties at every level - the sound was no problem. A big problem was the HVAC system: the room temperature was about 30º C constantly. I had to sleep with the window tilted (outside were -1ºC) and i was still warm - didn't even use the blanket. A big disadvantage of leaving the window open was that the whole smell from the kitchen came into the room. Another problem was with the parking, given that i visited this place for the new years eve party, it was full, but i did not expect to be directed to park on a field, in mud (kinda ruins the whole evening suit combination) I will avoid this place in the future.
I've heard the hotel also had a swimming pool, i won't dare to imagine the smell of the air during hot summer days (an unsanitary landfill - Glina -...
Read moreMy company booked a room at this hotel for a business trip. It wouldn't have been my first choice, but I came to appreciate this place. It is a bit far from downtown, but considering I drove to Bucharest it was really nice to find a parking with plenty of space, guarded and free of charge (unlike most hotels in Bucharest). There is a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the furniture in much better conditition than I was expecting from a 10yo hotel. Trust me, I've stayed in newer ones and it felt like they had second hand furniture! The hot water in the shower came immediatelly and it was an awsome feeling after the long days I had. Was also pleasently surprised by the restaurant, fresh and delicious food at decent prices, with great service from the waiters - Monica and a blonde lady who's name I sadly don't remember. As for the reception staff, I appreciate Maria's warm welcome and check-in and the patience to answer all my questions about the hotel and the surroundings. Glad for the review information card or it might have slipped my mind. I'll gladly return to this place when in Bucharest and will definitely ...
Read moreAt first glance it looks abandoned, it may have had 4 stars at some point but now it is far far from that, maybe 2 at best, the building needs work, and it is so very dusty. Among the good things is the pool , the water is nice and clean, i like that they have a pool for kids too. This is about the only plus Food is average at best. The service on the other hand was horrible, the staff acts like they own the place (maybe they do own it, who knows) always frowned and bothered by customers, i asked them if they would be so kind as to open one of the umbrellas for me, they said to do it myself…when we had lunch they were bothered because we used credit card insted of cash which is totally absurd, they did not give us wrist bands for the pool and tried to trick us into paying again for pool services (i told them let’s view the surveillance cams and they backed down) We will surely NEVER return to this location! Unless maybe the management takes action and fixes their...
