The hotel restaurant is probably the worst within many miles. Waiter that doesn't speak English and generaly doesn't care about nothing but his phone and playing really bad music louder and louder. Menu with dishes that are not available (and those who can be served won't be explained to you anyway). Finally the food - well, hard to call good or fresh. And I know that Romanian cousine can be super tasty. Waste of time - better walk to the nearby petrol station - you will probably find better food and service.

It's a nice place with very warm personnel willing to assist in any matter. Rooms are fair with adequate space but it's biggest problem is that it's far away from everything. If someone doesn't have a transportation mean taxi or Ubet is the only solution. For a trip Downtown 50Lei is per trip (10Euro) The breakfast is fair but needs a lot of efforts to become good like it's big brother Phoenicia Grand. Other than this the swimming pool and the massage facility provides something else overall.

A very nice hotel, relatively close to the airport (about 15 minutes). Taxi ride around $15. Good, professional service. The hotel is very clean. There's plenty of space on the main floor to sit, have a drink, or eat something. The rooms are quite large. I had a good night's sleep there! They have a good breakfast - about $10. I really recommend it! I think there's also a pool and gym, but I didn't have time to check them out. The prices are reasonable. I recommend it.

I usually don't like giving negative reviews and I am really not the pickiest person, but I have to be honest on this one. This is just not a good hotel.

Most of the personel are not particularly friendly and some are just unprofessional. One receptionist lady and a bellboy (middle aged man) on the other hand, were good. In general the others just don't seem to care about their guests.

Size of room was okay, not clean though. Found a few big pieces of dust in bed. Bath room was old and not well maintained. Walls chipped here and there. Area around tub faucet looked yucky. One of the ceiling plates was open, got a nice look at the piping. Bath tub got clogged after first shower, they unclogged it upon request but left bathroom floor dirty. And also didn't clean after I left the 'please clean room' note on door. All these things made us feel uncomfortable. You don't feel clean after showering here.

AC in room was stuck on 32 degrees celsius. Not taken care of, even though receptionist promised me otherwise.

Didn't like that in our room there was a window between bathroom and bed room. The blinds in front of the window don't give full coverage, so you feel quite uncomfortable when taking a shower.

Breakfast not very good. No fresh produce and no cheese, except these triangle cream cheeses. Hot breakfast foods (eggs etc), pastry, bread and dairy (different types of yoghurt) were okay. There is a selection of nuts and dried fruits, which was nice.

Wasn't too happy about the restaurant at the hotel (named Kasttane). Went to have dinner before our flight and we were literally the only two guests, so thought we would have a quick bite. Menu was far too huge making it time consuming and tiring to choose and they didn't even have all the items on the menu (none of the soups for instance). The place was very untidy (office supplies and papers lying around, very few tables were made properly) and food arrived very late and incomplete. My salmon was raw on the inside. Was offered to bring a new salmon on the house but as we didn't have time I just requested they grill my raw salmon a bit longer. They did (or they pretended), it was still raw! Roasted potatoes with rosemary were not actually roasted, just boiled. But tasted good. My husband's fish was tasty and grilled well.

Upon check out, no one said any nice goodbye's or thank you for your stay. The receptionist was busy with other file work, I had to ask if our check out was completed and if we can go. Answer was yes.

All in all, not pleased with this stay. I have stayed in many hotels in many categories in different countries and I never have high expectations but the basics of cleanliness and friendliness are a must at every single accomodation. I strongly recommend the hotel management to offer its employees a thorough...

It isn't new hotel but the rooms have air conditioning, there is a sauna and little swimming pool. Unfortunately during our first visit the air conditioning didn't work, but the problem was solved very quickly - we received keys to another room and that's how we discovered that few rooms are better equipped (with bottles of water, newer towels etc.). During our second visit there were only one towel in our room - we asked reception for providing the rest, but they told us they didn't received them from laundry (?). Breakfast - after reading all opinions below I supposed we had bad luck. There was a problem (lack) with vegetables, with cups for coffee and 10 minutes after starting breakfast i.e. the cake was over (and they didn't bring new pieces). We don't have good opinion about hotel restaurant (Kastteny) - after waiting almost 1 hour for our order they told us that actually they didn't have that fish. :-D So we ordered 2 plates of mussels - after 30 minutes they bring us the first one and after another 30 minutes the second... The fact is it was really tasty but I supposed all dishes prepared 2 hours should be...
