Where to start? Călina and Sorin, the hosts, are the kindest and most attentive people I’ve ever met—their warmth and dedication to excellent service made our stay unforgettable. We were picked up from Beiuș since the lodge is quite isolated, but it’s beautifully nestled in an oasis of nature in the heart of the Apuseni Natural Park, with stunning views and gorgeous hikes all around. We felt right at home in our front-view balcony suite, where linens were changed every three days and a washer/dryer was available as part of the room charge. The food was absolutely incredible—Călina’s sour soups are genuinely famous, and deservedly so. Meals were generous, varied, and comforting, especially after long hikes; dinner portions were large but welcome, and lunch was rarely needed. Although the restaurant isn’t fully operational yet, Călina was happy to prepare traditional food for dinner upon request. Evenings were made more memorable by the interesting and friendly company of fellow travelers staying at the lodge. While we didn’t drive, Călina and Sorin kindly ferried us around for a small fee. Excellent place to stay in an amazing area of the country.|We received a very warm welcome from the amazing family that owns and runs this place. Cabana Simiriam is an authentic family business ran by some wonderful and welcoming human beings. Mr Sorin and Mrs Călina, together with their two delightful daughters, are permanently ensuring that you have everything you need and you enjoy your stay at the cabin. It is a place where I really felt like home and where I had a great vacation.
