Hotel Iadolina — Hotel in Budureasa

I've spent 3 nights in this hotel in January. It was a decent experience. The hotel doesn't excell in anything but it's tolerable. It is important for you to know it is literally the only hotel in the resort. Due to this fact, the owners settle for less. I mean, the hotel is clean and ok-ish but there is more that can be done there. We had a nice room, with new plain furniture. The bathroom was clean but some kind of a sewer smell persisted troughout our stay. The disappointment was that during our four days stay, there was no housekeeping, nobody changed towels, provide toilet paper or shower stuff after being used. The room was pourly isolated, so the noise at night was pretty loud. On the other hand, the staff was extremely kind and helpful. Great people. The food was ok, came fast after ordering. The restaurant capacity is kind of small compared with the hotel capacity. All in all, it is a medium quality place to stay. Not good but not quite bad. It's possible to get back...

The hotel was refurbished approximately 12 years ago as we were told, but now it looks it really needs some refreshing touch- especially regarding the halls, dining room, bar. Rooms are clean, quite spacious, basic. The restaurant is a great place when returning from trips - serving great Romanian style food, and cheap, staying open until quite late in the evening. A lot of backpack trips start from this place and it is a great option for several nights if you are interested in exploring the region on foot. ||The negative part: when calling the hotel in the morning of the arrival they did not have our Booking confirmation and said we are not registered. After calling the "Booking" staff everything was arranged quite quickly but we could find ourselves arriving at the hotel and being told that there are no places and the registration was not received. Also, they told us that this happened before - therefore, check your reservation ...

It's worth staying at this hotel just for the shower! The water is spring water and when you step out of the shower, you feel amazing. The front desk employees are friendly and helpful and they know the area. They let me know about the scenic drive from Stana de Vale to Rameti. If you're nice and don't come with an "entitled" and rude attitude from America and Western Europe, you'll get the famous Romanian hospitality treatment. But if you come with an attitude, don't expect white gloves treatment. One thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the carpets. They should really switch to laminate flooring as some of the carpets are stained and probably hard to keep clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and very peaceful. Do yourself a favor and stay here and you'll leave rested...
