There is a first step for every journey, they say. But before that, you need a camp. And La Saca 42 is the perfect base for Apuseni exploration.|Going in the Northern part or Southern part of the mountains, your are more or less in the middle. Want to hike, to explore the caves, to raft, or just to enjoy the nature? You are there, in the middle of everything (Stana de Vale is just 20 km from there!)||The place is not for "extensive tourism". The total accommodation is 10-12 people, and this makes the place very cozy. It's a century old house, but renewed and it looks amazing. Details are kept as in the original.||The beds are comfortable, rooms are big, the bathrooms very modern. There is no AC, and this could be problem during the summer, but installing there the required hardware will damage the place architecture. So better no. The heat is bearable. There is a terrace where the breakfast and the dinner are served, but also a place inside, for the late Autumn/Winter seasons. ||And now, about the meals... Exquisites! All home made, carefully prepared. Some vegetables are even harvested from the backyard. And I think most of the "raw materials" used to prepare what we served is locally produced - meat, vegetables, eggs, milk, even bread. As I said, everything is prepare very carefully and from the heart. At least delicious!||The owners are so friendly, they have a lot of stories about the place, the surroundings, about the attractions in the area. Just ask them, they will guide you.||We've only spent the weekend there, but it is perfect even for longer stays. I don't want to make any comparisons, since I do not know all the places there, but from what I've experienced so far, I would say it was the one of the best. ||I would recommend it with no...

A definite must visit! The village is quite, the house is clean and very comfortable, but best of all, is the amazing local food and the warm hosts - Ninu and his family.

During our stay there we felt like family, enjoying the cozy and slow living from Saca.

Anything I might say is an understatement of our experience at Saca, it's a dreamy place.

One thing to note, though, going there by car is a must as there isn't a lot to do in Saca. To benefit the most from one's stay, a car is a must. The public transport is...

We stayed at la saca for 4 nights and we did not regret it! The house itself is really nice - traditional but renovated in a very tasteful way. The garden is pure joy - very peaceful and relaxing... You could spend an entire day just lounging in the chair reading and being happy :) and the food... Well, prepare for an experience! Super tasty and in large portions :) one thing to mention is that it might not be the best place if you're not comfortable with dogs. The household has 2 and they are super...

This place is amazing. The food is great, made with home grown ingredients. The hosts are very friendly. The garden is beautiful. There's parking in the courtyard. Make sure you opt for the dinner you will not regret. The house is very clean and beautiful, everything it's high quality and well taken care of. Will defently return. This was definitely the best accommodation I've ever encountered. Make sure you say hello to Goldy!
