Pensiunea Trecătoarea Lupilor — Hotel in Budureasa

Great surprise in the middle of Apuseni Mountains! The place is very nice having all the amenities you might require for a very comfortable stay. The hosts are awesome. We came much later than expected but they still received us warmly and with an excellent dinner ready for us. They are running the place impeccably. The food was always excellent. The lady of the house has made a point to always ask us about any culinary preferences and our schedule in order to accommodate the meals accordingly. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms very well appointed. We had 2 rooms with the lake view and one with the mountain view and they were all great. Every morning I spend some time on the balcony overlooking the lake and it was a great way to start the day. The location is perfect - we visited ghetarul Scarisoara, Pestera Ursilor, Pestera Meziad, Pestera Poarta lui Ionel, trecatoare Ordancusi, cheile Galbenei, cetatile Ponorului. It was also a very easy access to the city of Oradea where we spend a day. They also have plenty of amenities for local entertainment - fishing, paddle boarding, ATV or mountain biking tours. If you are looking for a perfect place in the Apuseni Mountains don't look any further...

We had the luck to book here for a night as we were headed home to Bucharest.

Amazing hosts with which we had pleasant discussions and overall were eager to take care of any of our needs.

Food was amazing, i would say even extraordinary. Home made soup, cordon bleu, schnitzel, sausages at dinner and probably one of the best breakfast we ever had in our travels with eggplant salad, fish egg salad, dry sausages, salami, tomatoes, cheese, etc.

The room was extremely clean and smelled nice. The bathroom was spotless.

Waking up you have a great view of the surrounding hills and it’s so eerily quiet.

You can also fish in the location’s lake with plenty of space all around.

Lastly, some amazingly looking dogs around, the wolves! :)

Would recomend fully to anyone who needs a place to relax or to stop...

Improvement/things to consider: No hairdryer in room, no Air-conditioning.

The good: Value for price was great. Beautiful area with view all around the house situated right on the fishing pond. Large outside area for use including boats and paddleboards Sleep to the natural sound of frogs and fish. Offered SPA and rental bikes and ATVs Building: New and modern, nicely designed and made in high quality materials with attention to details. Room: Clean and modern, great view to the pond with a private Terrace, comfortable beds, great rain shower. Staff were very accommodating and friendly Offering coffee/drinks upon arrival.
