Pensiunea Arxavia — Hotel in Câineni

5 stars for hospitality.

A VERY GRATEFUL shoutout to the cutest owners of the Pensiunea Arxavia. We didnt have the privilege of staying here but out unfortunate circumstance led us to meeting such a wonderful couple with most outstanding HOSPITALITY we could have ever asked for.

Our car broke down 100m from their Inn at 10:30pm and we had to wait for another car which wouldnt arrive until 2:30am! Our cellphones were dying and we just needed to find a place to charge them.

When we came to the Inn we were GREETED with big smiles and warmth. They offered us more than just a space to charge our phones. They served us coffee and tea and even were thoughtful enough to think of food, but we kindly declined as this was more than we could have asked for. We got a great conversation, shared a few laughs and got an experience out of it.

Even if we didn't stay here we wished we could have (but we already paid for another hotel in Sibiu that was kindly waiting for us patiently).

Hospitality alone is enough to make us come back here.

Minuses: • There is no air conditioning, but this is not really a minus, because there is a ceiling fan.

Pluses: • bed & breakfast • Free WIFI, kid-friendly, free - parking • A spacious room with all the necessary amenities: a bed, a mini-table, bedside tables, a TV, a chandelier with a fan (this is rare), a sofa (sliding, you can sleep). Very good shower room. Water doesn't flow. • Location beautiful. Around the mountain, cliffs and river. Under the mountains it is usually cooler. Sleep is not hot. • The main plus is the chic staff and owners!

Bed and breakfast I stayed here for 3 nights. With a family of 5. I was in room 3, and it was perfect for us, and it was very modern and all very clean. The family that owns the property is very accommodating and makes you feel at Home, Mihaela can speak English and German , which was great for us. There is an area to park your car that is secure.

If you are travelling by motorbike (touring) with a few friends, this place is ideal to stop off at and stay for the night. Your bike is secure at night, there is loads of accommodation, there is a shop about 100m away and the same for a local mechanic near the road. If you need to fix something. The main road is about 200m away. The roads are great...
